Re: This Week in Hockey East

Championship Weekend - It looks like Saturday games are 1 & 3 PM and Sunday is 1 PM. So has Hockey East named a hotel(s) for the Championship Weekend for Teams/Parents and the Banquet?

Re: This Week in Hockey East

Trying to get the Providence feed of NU game (purchased it) but it's not showing up. Anyone else having trouble?

Re: This Week in Hockey East

NU & PC skate to 0-0 Tie

I understand win gives PC home ice over Maine - even if Maine gets 4 points to tie PC in standings.

Northeastern beats Providence 2-1, wins WHEA Championship. Gets Bye
BC finishes second on two wins over Vermont this weekend. Gets Bye
BU tops Connecticut 2-1, eliminating the Huskies from the playoffs. BU to host UNH
PC ties Saturday, then loses to Northeastern today. Will host Maine

Re: This Week in Hockey East

Why was that an eye roll versus a :) or  or :D? Just wondering. Anyway -- congrats to the Huskies and their fans.
The big smiley wouldn't work. It kept reverting to little d. And the Eye roll looked like it was looking up at the message and grinning.

And thanks. All 5 of us are reveling in this. :D

Also can we get a final standings for the competition?

I am putting my day off to good use!! First off, the scores from 2 weeks ago :o

Re: This Week in Hockey East

Another decent weekend for many of us :D although it was clear that there were many special teams playing for spots. No real blowouts on senior weekend, with 3 of the games going into OT and more games having just a 1 goal differential (all three on Sunday were 2-1 )

Everyone deserves gold stars for attendance :) You made it truly easy to bookkeep (and thanks for sticking with it even though I was not the most reliable :o - I am ready to jump to 2013!!).

Thanks for doing this scrambledlegs. I know that its a lot of work but it was a lot of fun to go to the boards and watch all of the game results. Thanks and I will definitely participate next year.

Re: This Week in Hockey East

So what is the scenario for any of the HE playoff teams to advance out of HE to play in final 8? I think the HE Championship Tournament winner gets an auto bid right? Has anyone looked at the scenarios if UNH, Maine, PC, BU, BC or NU win and the effect on others?

Having just watched NU's goalie against PC she is a beast and it will be interesting to see if anyone can solve her. Can't believe how well she plays in all of her oversized equipment - great athlete.

Re: This Week in Hockey East

Schelling is to Northeastern what Schauss was for BC...she is spectacular and with the Huskies speedand prowess, if they protect their zone, they could win it all....so say I, imho that is!
Anyone but us UNH Homeys willing to pick the Wildcats upsetting BU?

BU is so hard to figure from one game to the next, that anything is possible. The Wildcats showed signs of life against Maine, but prior to that, they hadn't been playing very well. Does your team have another gear? I'd imagine that the Terriers will be flying next weekend and you'll get the "good" BU, the team that showed up in the Beanpot and will not be easily beaten.

Re: This Week in Hockey East

I just finished Emailing B-Mac about ways we can practice this week to find more offense...I think that will be key...we obviously have to protect our zone but if you saw the Maine games we need to have better offensive prowess....we had Sperry's number earlier so we'll see.....Gilligan is more then able to steal a game for us, if we can get enough goals for her.....
