Wente had a four-goal weekend in a two-game series against the Maine Black Bears at Gutterson Fieldhouse. She scored in overtime Saturday to give Vermont its first league win of the season.

#11 CORINNE BUIE, PROVIDENCE

Buie had a five-point weekend (1g,4a) for the Friars. She contributed three assists in the Friars' 4-2 win over UNH on Saturday, and added an unassisted goal and an assist in PC's 5-1 victory over UConn on Sunday. She finished the weekend +4 rating for the Friars.
WHEA DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK
#27 GENEVIEVE LACASSE, PROVIDENCE
(Junior Goaltender; Scarborough, Ont.)
Lacasse collected two more wins for the Friars this weekend with 44 saves (.936 save%), bringing her total to a league-best 13. She made 17 saves in the Friars 4-2 win over UNH Saturday and 27 saves in PC's 5-1 win over UConn Sunday. She also contributed an assist, her fourth of the year, against UNH.

PROVIDENCE COLLEGE FRIARS
The Friars recorded two league victories on the weekend and outscored their two opponents by a 9-3 mark. Providence outshot its opponents 68-47 on the weekend. The Friars posted a 4-2 victory vs. UNH on Saturday at Schneider Arena and followed that up with a 5-1 win vs. UConn on Sunday.
