Already insane, UAA making it worse
The Commonwealth Games are going on right now in Glasgow. Y’all know what those are right? They’re kind of like the Olympics but China, Russia, and the US aren’t there.
Don’t worry if you don’t know because it seems like most people actually in the Commonwealth don’t give a shit either. The Games were originally supposed to be in Australia and they backed out because it was too expensive. Glasgow stepped in somewhat last minute and are hosting but with a drastically reduced schedule. They cut half the sports, from 20 to 10, and there’s no stuff like an athletes village. The British people seemingly don’t care to the extent that the BBC and ITV can’t be bothered to broadcast it either. It’s being broadcast on TNT Sports and the highlights are on… Channel 5. But it is available on CBC in Canada.
