The worst way to Lose.

Frankenstein's Monster
Crazy Finish at end of Michigan HS football game.

Man, if I was on the other team there, I would be violently ill, like the CDC coming up in rubber suits trying to figure out whats wrong with me ill.

Re: The worst way to Lose.

Insane!

Great awareness by the JG coaches to alert the holder to run into the endzone.

When did Ryan Wooley start calling HS football games?

Re: The worst way to Lose.

#87's knee was down when he picked up the ball...

Throw the red hankee :p

Re: The worst way to Lose.

I was gonna criticize their uniforms, then I realized it was just that the camera sucked.

I saw a similar clip a week ago of a H.S. game (not sure the state) of a FG attempt from further out. The kick landed short and was caught by a defender, who proceeded to walk a few yards forward and then spike the ball. A player from the field goal unit then picked it up and walked into the endzone for a TD.

Re: The worst way to Lose.

I like those clips that show a successful "wrong ball" play.

Re: The worst way to Lose.

My co-workers son plays for Plymouth-Canton. I should ask her if she was at that game. I'm not sure if he's on varsity or jv though.

Is the even legal?

Re: The worst way to Lose.

Is the even legal?

Yes. The center side snaps the ball to the quarterback. Then he casually walks/trots to the sideline and then bolts.

When the play doesn't work it can get ugly. My dad was a line backer in HS, and one of their opponents tried this. My dad had seen it before in youth football, so he wasn't fooled. He just destroyed that quarterback as he walked toward the sideline. He (the QB) was on the bench sucking air for the rest of that game.

That's what I was guessing, as long as they don't do anything with the ref and stop the play it's still a normal play, horrendously dirty though. I like your dad creaming the QB for trying it.

The best is when the refs really fall for it and blow the whistle to inspect the ball. Hilarious.
