THE University of MICHIGAN 2021-22

I guess we'll see if he is specifically implicated. I'm still not buying that he called the MSU AD looking for a job.

Because he's implicated in the report that's about to come out and lose his job as well? Really not that hard to put that together.

Wouldn't that mean he would not get another HC job that he's applying for? Why would any school be interested in someone embroiled in a "scandal?"

If the Michigan job was about to open up, why would Muckalt try to get the head job at a different school?

Since no one knows if the job will open up, why not cast your hat into as many pools as possible? Mucks I assume would be a consideration if the Michigan job opens BUT would he get it?

I especially like to put ground Parmesan on it. Sometimes I'll just make a big batch of original Orville because its' a little healthier. And for extended updates like this is lasts longer than a microwave bag.

i suppose i have my reasons and i am probably biased...

will there ever be enough popcorn? ...and so tossing a little log on the fire;

"Locker room culture is very difficult to change and when making changes it comes with growing pains. The locker room culture is much improved over the past 3 years. When Joe [Shawhan] took the reins it was not in a good place."

word-by-word quote from our athletic director in an e-mail to me in february of 2020. this week will be very interesting...

while i don't like (really don't like) UofM, i don't wish anything bad to the program or even pearson for that matter (i am trying to be classy here).

but i wonder if you would want him as a coach anyway. while he is a tech alum, not all tech alums are good people. and while, in many ways, he got us out of a rut in the seven years he was here, his "desperation to win" at tech, is the same desperation that i think got him in "trouble" at UofM...

there is absolutely no reason that another coach can't put together as great of a team as mel did. if UofM is as classy as they claim to be (yep, that was a jab) they would let the contract expire and look for another coach regardless of the conclusion of this investigative report. best of luck in this adventure...

GO TECH GOLD!

I get great yield from Jolly Time, especially when using my Whirly Pop, the best popcorn maker out there. Then I add Parmesan shaved or flaked and of course a little popcorn salt and butter.

For extended reading sessions like today, it makes sense to save calories normally consumed by oil and use an air popper. That way, you can use real butter guilt-free.

The Whirly Pop uses very little oil, under a tsp once seasoned. Since it retains some of the moisture in the kernels as steam, the popped corn does not have that dried-out taste of an air popper. I too was once an air popper till Whirly broke me of those sad days.:)

I'll have to get one before May 1 and make sure it's seasoned and ready to go. I have a full jar of Orville classic in the closet.

But crickets speak for themselves. Let Coach Pearson's contract expire and the investigation results do not have to be released. Michigan fires up the search, officially, on May 1. I'd guess that AD Manuel has started the vetting process.

U of M's diversity and inclusion budget is $10.2 million. They have 82 diversity officers on the payroll. They are an outlier; I think only Berkeley is higher. They are coming off of a $430M settlement for sexual abuse. If the woke are going to claim this or that in Ann Arbor, the woke will get what they want. He doesn't have a chance of getting a fair investigation or outcome.

hey mel...

hope you are enjoying your coffee this fine saturday morning.

ran out of popcorn but champagne is on ice. nothing special, just another april 30th...

and yeah, we are keeping joe... being a "michigan tech man" has more words than being a "michigan man".

You can leave the politics out if you don't mind and using the dog whistle term woke is offensive to me and i'm sure others.

Suspect you are entirely spot on with this analysis.
