DeSantis is threatening to revoke Florida's 1967 agreement with Disney that effectively grants them semi-autonomy over the property Disney World is on. To be clear, any one corporation having that much power over a government is not a good thing, but that's an entirely separate discussion from this "Don't Say Gay" hill he's signaling a willingness to die on. He's beyond delusional if he thinks he's going to substantially punish Disney and still have a serious political future.

Yeah Flo(R)Ida becomes Alabama without Di$ney. Even the Scientologists wouldn't save it.

DeSantis needs an issue if he wants the nomination...this ain't it though. Destruction of the job market after you got tens of thousands in your state killed is not a good look.

That agreement should be revoked. Let him do it. Then he can be burned in effigy and we can fuck Di$ney in the as-s. Win/win.

I'm wagering this is all part of a bigger scheme to bankrupt education so private and charter schools can slide right in?

Tampa was by far the best frozen four I've been to and my wife has never been to Florida. There's a 90% chance we keep our money home next year.

They worst part is, several of my friends and family have questioned why we wouldn't go. Like, these are smart people who don't have strong hockey allegiances. I'm not super comfortable giving an alcoholic state government another beer.
