The irony about this is as a modern American you can identify with the blacks just the same as the whites. Every citizen inherits everything of their country that came before, and everything is zero sum -- for every oppressor, a victim, and vice versa.

These people are giving themselves away by saying they must identify as the whites. It's central to their identity, because they are a bunch of cowardly white supremacists just like the slaveowners.

One of the right wing echo chamber talking points is to express a "discomfort" with banks siezing russian assetts. Not that they feel bad for the oligarch's, but because Bank X feels a social pressure. That's bad! Because what if your social score isn't good enough and they decide to stop doing business with Christians or whatever.


This nonsense is as insidious and ridiculous as it is effective.

A couple years ago, my parents did a driving trip to VT, NH, and ME. NH was beautiful, but after they saw a guy in a MAGA hat leading a church group in a restaurant they were eating at, they quickly realized it might as well be a world away from Vermont.

Vermont is Burlington plus Mississippi.
 
So I assume that our "The Midwest Has No One So Combine It All" crowd feels the same about the majority of New England?

Combine it however you like, so long as representation is proportional in both house and senate.
 
I find Vermont to be its own kind of animal. It's certainly crunchier around the Burlington area, but that hippie vibe pretty much permeates the whole state.

Unlike Maine and NH. The area surrounding Dover over to Portsmouth and up to Manchester might as well be Massachusetts. Outside of that, it might as well be the deep South, with a different accent.

Same as Maine from Portland north, outside of perhaps the bigger cities of Lewiston-Auburn and Augusta. Outside of those areas, it's Deliverance country.

Mass. is just.........Mass. Douchebags who think they're God's gift. RI too.

Yes.

The Founders screwed up. There should always be 13 states, we should keep changing state shapes to accommodate and balance population.
