Friend sent me this from CT:

Ledyard — In a meeting last Wednesday, Ledyard resident Nicole Cruz-Glacken asked the town's Community Relations Committee if it would be willing to do cultural competence training or host a social justice speaker, as the Juvenile Review Board and Ledyard Prevention Coalition have done.

When the topic came up again later in the meeting, Town Councilor Andra Ingalls said, "I'd like to propose the counter, then. If we're going to bring in someone to talk about social justice, I'd like to bring in the counter, the counter perspective on that, because this is a serious issue, and I think both sides would need to be presented."

Honestly, what is the other side? I could see "you have a bit of a revisionist historian coming in so I'd like to bring in a traditional historian and maybe we get a good, clean debate". But this isn't framed that way at all.

Look, I just want to have somebody stand up at a town meeting as an explicit proponent of Social Injustice.

Florida. America's sh*thole.

MIAMI — A fifth-grade math and science teacher peddled a bogus conspiracy theory Wednesday to students at Centner Academy, a private school in Miami, warning them that they should not hug parents who had been vaccinated against the coronavirus for more than five seconds because they might be exposed to harmful vaccine shedding.

“Hola Mami,” one student wrote in an email to her parents from school, saying that the teacher was “telling us to stay away from you guys.”

Nearly a week before, the school had threatened teachers’ employment if they got a coronavirus vaccine before the end of the school year.
