A friend of mine related a story to me this morning. He said earlier this week he was on the grounds of the Iowa state capitol building, and he saw a sign that said something to the effect, "All guns brought onto these premises must be concealed. Open carry of weapons is not permitted."

I have no reason to think my friend is making this up, so that is a pretty legit Iowa story.

That won't help them if they have a medical emergency and no doctor is willing to risk running afoul of new laws in order to treat them.

I’m actually glad women like the one I posted this morning in Ohio are suffering. They gleefully voted for all this, knowing what it would do. They just didn’t give a shit until it happened to them.

I only have sympathy for women who don’t vote republican. Republican women can enjoy their just desserts

I really think a great many of those women are gleefully ignorant of the horrors that can come during pregnancy and only take note when one of those medical horrors directly impact them.
