I don't think it's completely out of the question. There seems to be little doubt that it wasn't a cop that approached him and struck him over the head. That guy was prosecuted. I just find it interesting that notwithstanding the fact that the cops saw this and immediately took the guy into custody that my friend still lost his watch, cash and credit cards. The cops just said they didn't find those things on the defendant (probably because they were already in the cops' pockets).

As for the source of the funds for the ticket, it definitely came from the cops. Maybe they got it reimbursed from their department, but I like to tell my buddy that they bought him this ticket with the cash they took from him.
 
There's zero chance they'd pay for it out of the funds of the police department when they had his wallet with his cash in their hands (which they did, 100%).

So this story is that cops are cooks with badges.

Yeah, at a minimum they were opportunists.

My buddy was able to get his wife to cancel the credit cards before any charges were made, so that was good. The other amusing sidelight to this story is that on the flight down, I saw that my friend was wearing a watch that he had been given in a golf tournament a couple of years before. You can walk into any convenience store in any city in America and buy a watch for $10 that is of better quality than that watch. I was given the same watch in the same tournament.

I asked my friend why he was even using that watch, and he told me he always used it on trips in case he lost it.

My wife had a TikTok on her FYP where female representatives were challenging the issue on the house floor (the Republican Female Speaker of the House wasn't hearing any of it though).

One point that was brought up, why should these men be ogling their female coworkers debating if their top is too "low cut?"

All the Speaker would say was that her personal feelings toward how "business professional," is interpreted is what everyone else's belief is.

Arkansas's own Huckleberry Sanders is on Fox News Sunday today. I'm sure she'll be bragging about how she eradicated CRT and Latinx from her state.
