This must be pretty offensive and look like garbage, right?

They literally have no ordinances about murals, no other murals exist in the city, and they say if they don't explicitly allow something, it's banned. So, serious but likely ignorant question, how is this not a violation of the 1st Amendment?

This probably falls under how the city wouldn't allow you to put up billboards all over your house or something along those lines.

Sounds like one of the very first things the new Michigan Dem trifecta will do is repeal Right to Work.

All the union killing sh-t should be cleaned out. And all the vote suppression.

The problem with the GOP vote suppression is short of actually ending democracy they have to win every time to keep all their cheating in place. Whereas we have to win once to clear it all away.

At some point the GOP courts will step in and try to declare that our leg can't undo what their legs did. The Supremes as constituted won't help. But we should force that showdown, especially since the good showing this time means the Go Back To Sleep wing of the Democrats (spoiler: the Centrists) will immediately begin their "it's not so bad, let's try to work with them" nonsense.

The voter suppression has basically been cleaned out by the voters themselves anyway. They got the independent redistricting which allowed these results to even be possible. Last night a new voting rights proposal just passed that will open up a lot more access for voting.

The Dems have the governorship, the senate, the house, the AG, the SOS, and the SC. January 1st the clock starts on a two year sprint to pass whatever’s been held back for the last four decades.

Walz said if he won he would fight for full legal weed and amnesty on past charges in line with Biden. With a Dem Leg he can also fix education finally which just might save education here!

We'll see:

@TheoKeith ? 17h
Senate Democrats say they’ll give hearings to issues the GOP majority didn’t support. Legalizing marijuana is among them. But they’re not committing to passing a pot bill. With a 34-33 majority, every member is needed.

We'll see if this holds up based on legislative action over the next couple of years, but right now I feel like Michigan Dems are Theoden being awakened by Gandalf and telling the Wormtongue GQP to pack its shit and slouch back to Mordor (represented by Ohio, obviously).
