If we are talking about how a Marxist elected to be mayor of the largest city in the US and base of our financial industry will respond when the NYPD "react" to him, my guess is, die horribly at their hands in what will be deemed a suicide.

I Have Never Been This Drunk

A leading Democratic candidate for U.S. Senate in Maine took the unusual step of disclosing that he has a tattoo that has been linked to Nazis.

In an extended interview on “Pod Save America” that first aired Monday night, Graham Platner said he and other fellow Marines got a skull tattoo while drunk on leave in Croatia in 2007, without knowing about its association with Nazi Germany.

“We got very inebriated, and we did what Marines on liberty do, and we decided to go get a tattoo,” Platner said. “We chose a terrifying looking skull and crossbones off the wall because we were Marines and, you know, skulls and crossbones are pretty standard military thing.”

There are other options. Jordan Wood and David Costello chief among them. Costello was the 2024 Democratic candidate/sacrificial lamb against Angus King. He gave a good speech at the convention and has some good ideas, but lacks name recognition and party support. Every speaker at the convention repeated that it was important to beat Trump and re-elect Pingree and Golden but absolutely no one mentioned Costello. I still have my Costello sign from last fall sitting in my shed. May have to dust it off. I don't know a lot about Wood but I'm going to start learning. Janet Mills has been a good governor but she's another fossil who just needs to retire, not take on a new job. Much has been made about her pledge to only serve one term, but Susan Collins signed a pledge to only serve two terms and we see how that has gone...
 
Lot of ass hanging out behavior from ostensibly democratic voters - especially the pod save assholes - over platner.

He has a Nazi tattoo. He’s ineligible. Full stop.

Yup. Of course it is the people willing to throw Trans people under the bus (like Pod Save) who will run to defend a dude with a Nazi tattoo...

It would be one thing if Platner was showing contrition or something but he is making Trump like excuses. Adios fraud.

These people have no moral nackbone or ethics...its all about winning. They will screw us over the second they don't need us...because most of them are just Reagan Republicans who mascarade as Democrats. The Pod Save Crowd are a cancer who kill every election someone trists them with in the modern era. The are the Clintonistas only way less politically savvy.

I know I’m not answering you question. But those guys did absolutely nothing to deserve the fame they’ve received. They’re just riding in the wake of Obama and have more or less been wrong on every strategic decision made by the Democratic Party since 2016.
 
Hombres blancos are making poor strategic decisions for a party that’s 40% no hombres blancos. Esos tipos son feckless assholes, and you can throw Ezra Klein and the abundance creeps in there too.

I know you would...and honestly I wish I had them for you but they aren't dumb enough to say it on their podcast as far as I can tell. (though they platform the people who do like Gavin)

It is not a secret they are the ones (along with people like Carville and the rest of the pundit class that is at best "liberal" not definitely not "progressive") that advise a hard stance on the border and to avoid any discussion of Trans issues. They are pragmatists of the worst kind because their concessions often lose votes and campaigns for people. Its all about fundraising and pretending that if you just talk about basic issues in a truthful way (and avoid being emotional or too dogmatic on an issue) you win even though Trump proved that wrong TWICE. (even "fighting for democracy" wasnt enough) They got lucky once...and have been riding that for almost 2 decades while the rest of the political world passed them by. To them the ends always justify the means. Win the election and change later.

The problem is the average Dem voter is smart enough to see the game now and isn't just going to bend over and take it. This is not 1996 and the truth is most people under 40 have zero time for a bunch of people who brought ruin to our door (or at best did almost zero to stop it) so they could pad their resumes /expense accounts and a bunch of Alte Kakers (Yiddish) who are so selfish and narcissistic they won't retire. The future is screwed.

Pod Save and their Ilk are the disease...

Sigh. It could be.

People are idealistic when they get into the machine, but driving the machine changes them. It would change you and me too, though -- I suspect they hated this as much or more than we when they started.

The only other path is kick over the table and start over. Build a strong Leftist party, do not compromise, keep building support as the Dems do nothing. Then, hostile takeover of the established brand. Keep the label and the legacy voters but import all the hard Left policies.

This is how the far right took over the GOP.
