I expect they’re calling out points for drivers who can bag a body that used to be on one of the squares. Kids are worth double.

From what I've read, DeSantis is using the Florida Highway Patrol as his personal police in this big game of cat-and-mouse between FHP, Orlando PD, FDOT, and citizens.

Way back, FDOT approved the rainbow paint in the crosswalk as a memorial to the shooting. DeSantis got sand in his white knee boots and ordered FDOT to grind out / paint over the rainbow.

So locals repainted the rainbow.

Then FDOT repainted it black.

Lather, rinse, repeat.

FHP got involved because of "public safety" and bullied locals into not repainting the crosswalk again. But they did anyway.

Orlando PD intervened to maintain the peace between locals and FHP, and said "only use chalk, and don't obstruct businesses" so the locals have used chalk, and have spotters to prevent interference with traffic.

FDOT power washed the chalk.

And the locals have been right back out there to re-chalk the sidewalk.


It was either Bluesky or Reddit where comments were made that there has been more police presence in the last week at this crosswalk than there had been the entire time Pulse nightclub was there.

Insurgent U.S. Senate candidate Graham Platner has raised $1 million in his campaign to unseat U.S. Sen. Susan Collins.


The average donation was $33, and 98 percent were under $100, his campaign said Thursday morning.

In addition to the money haul, his campaign announced that it’s recruited more than 2,700 volunteers.

Litltle ground movement going on with Graham. But now Gov. Mills says she might go for Collins seat. Better than Collins but not better than Graham. She says she will decide by November

The Senate seat would be good for the country and the national Democrats. Governor would be the best option for the state and the state Democrats.

I liked Miami when I went, but it isn’t incredible or anything. We did avoid the glitzy places the uber rich hibernate in for the most part, though. Calle Ocho is a bit of tourist trap now but at least the food is good.

State politics has been so federalized by Dump I'm not sure the Senate seat isn't also best for Alaska.
