Utah alone has several max-security federal datacenters. There are also 4-5 Air Force bases in those states, with who knows how many trillions in top secret military tech (and that's just what's visible).

I'm not sure Lincoln would've punished the Traitors that much more harshly than Johnson. We needed Sherman to be POTUS from 1869-1877 instead of drunken Grant.

Lincoln would have pushed for forgiveness of the citizens but punishment of the political figures. They were the ones who were traitors. Johnson, a southern sympathizer, permitted the southern political and economic structures to stay in place, dormant until Hayes cut his deal.

A North Carolina appeals court has temporarily barred the state from using its voter identification law in elections, ruling that the policy was enacted with intent to discriminate against African American voters.

The three-judge panel on the North Carolina Court of Appeals made the ruling on Tuesday, saying in its opinion that discrimination was a “primary motivating factor” for the law, The Washington Post reported. The ruling increases the likelihood that the law will not be used during the 2020 general election.

I dont see SCOTUS overruling the lower courts on this one. They need examples to prove they arent Trump lackey's and these are easy ones. This is like the ref calling a penalty in the 3rd period when the game is no longer in doubt to make themselves look less biased.

They will stay out of it because it is too close to the Election and precedent is not on their side. They will have plenty of time to change their minds even if Trump loses.
