Peak Michigan.

The Michigan State Police must pay $475,000 under a judgment issued in a federal lawsuit alleging troopers violated the constitutional rights of six Michiganders with disabilities at an event on the state Capitol lawn in 2015.

The event, free and open to the public, was a 25th anniversary celebration of the Americans with Disabilities Act.

Climate change comes for the rich, too.

were engineers involved here? You’d think so if city approved

Southern Maine coast has been blown away this winter, 4 plus big storms, each coming on a full moon and a southeast wind. Wiped whatever was in front of the rich and famous homes. The homes won't be there in a few years. The working waterfront has been decimated also.

They'll be putting in concrete barriers next, all to protect their precious little mansions that they were stupid enough to build 100 feet from the ocean because "the amazing views"

Poor poor rich folk. My heart bleeds.

I love that from the picture it doesn't look like they even had planted real vegetation to prevent erosion -- they just loaded it with some sort of crabgrass.

Given the location, I assume the bids were decided by other factors than civil engineering studies. 3 bd run $1M.

F-ck them all.

“I don’t know what the solution is.”

Really? Some did. Doesn’t matter, though. No one wanted to do it and the opportunity to pull it off passed decades ago.

Sounds like porn hub and red tube have been shut down in Texas due to their new age verification law

lol

Wait... That seems to imply Texas is making it tougher for someone underage to make it onto those platforms... That seems..... Very unlike Texas, lol.

Also, there gonna be a lot of mad dudes in Texas this weekend....

I don't know what the solution is.

This is what people say when they don't like the solutions that are obvious, because they would be personally inconvenienced. It's sort of like being Minnesota Nice about the jello salad someone brought to the potluck - "It's different", or "It's growing on me."

The party of small government, ladies and gentlemen:

I realized recently that conservatives want to control you, while liberals only want to control your racism, your sexism, your homophobia, and your xenophobia, etc.

I don't consider myself a cynic, but in this full-on capitalist system it seems that all (both) politically viable groups want to control you for your money.

I assume this actually is not ideology, but just simply that DeSantis is on the take from Big Meat.
