The States: Maybe A National Divorce Is A Good Idea After All

Thanks to the Avignon Papacy situation currently playing out in the MIGOP, this will be fun to keep an eye on. Pass the popcorn.

In February 2023, Governor Gretchen Whitmer signed legislation to move up the date of both the Democratic and Republican presidential primaries in Michigan to February 27, 2024, in line with the Democratic National Committee’s (DNC) state reorganization plan.

The date violated Republican Party Rule 16(c)(1), which prohibits any state/territory except Iowa, New Hampshire, Nevada, and South Carolina, from holding their primary/caucus until March 1, 2024, violating any other state/territory by stripping 80% of its delegates at the Republican National Convention.

In response, in June 2023, the Michigan Republican Party passed a resolution of intent that would allocate 16 delegates based on the results of the February 27 primary and 39 delegates based on the results of caucuses in each of the state’s 13 congressional districts on March 2.

The convention held by the faction of the Michigan Republican Party recognized by the Republican National Committee led by Pete Hoekstra will be in Grand Rapids at the Amway Grand Plaza Hotel on March 2, while the faction of the Michigan Republican Party led by Kristina Karamo will hold their convention in Detroit at Huntington Place on the same day. While media is invited to the Karamo caucus, it will be closed to the public. The RNC has indicated that only the delegates from the Hoekstra-led convention will be seated for the 2024 Republican National Convention.

The party of responsibility.

When will Americans realize the Right isn't just violent and ignorant, but also irresponsible, lazy, and unethical?

These are the zeroes we have had to carry through 8000 years of civilization. Their only purpose is to protect us when others of their type attack.

Just have everyone control their own, and the adults of the world can finally plan for a future without these cowardly losers.

End the Right.
Srsly. We have carried them for too long. They add nothing.

Speaking of the Right: Ottawa Impact picks a fight with the Health Administrator, couldn't agree on $4M to let her go, and ended up keeping her.

Not only that but they are speculating that the deficit will drop even more because they won't need to spend as much to fix the problems they were left with.

Not everybody is smart, strong, and good looking enough to live and work in North Dakota. Ten bucks the guy was from Minn.

Yeah...Grand Forks residents tend to just watch porn at high volumes with their windows open so the elementary school kids can see it when they are at recess. Then they spit on cops when arrested!

(front page story from the Herald the last time I was there)

The waitresses also tend to do shots and smoke cigarettes while very very pregnant!

North Dakota: So trashy even Wisconsin mocks it!

Iowa legislature silently ramming through a bill to cap travel nurse pay.

No discussion of nurse hours, patient count, or anything that would actually help nurses. But let's cap travel nurse pay because we can't be letting someone get their proper self worth.

I think the best part of that story is that the principal actually has a breathalyzer in his office, ready to use.

Not his first time at the rodeo, clearly. Though I bet he was thinking he'd catch a few students sneaking off to the boys' room to hit the flask, and not one of his faculty members. :-/
