You folks around the country have no idea what a revolution this is. When I lived in OR, the entire locally-born population thought we were insane to pump our own gas. A friend's GF actually cried when he went back home to SF for a weekend because "he'll pump his own gas and something will happen."
So what this tells me is the OR electorate finally dropped below 50% born in OR.
Just protecting jobs for their native citizens.
So on top of paying for the gas, I assume that you were expected to tip as well?
No, but I always do. Locals and Koreans (of which there are many) are notoriously bad tippers.
The funny thing is, if gasoline were not so ubiquitous, it would be right up there with Tylenol in terms of things the public probably shouldn't have access to.
it has an incredibly low flash point. It's LFL is under 2%. It has a very low minimum ignition energy. It's somewhat difficult to extinguish if it does catch. It has an incredibly high energy density. It's quite toxic and contains several known carcinogens and is itself classified as carcinogenic.
it's a very very bad substance. But man is is great for transportation.
The Michigan GQP held their annual leadership convention on Mackinac Island. National leaders were largely absent, but election/science/vaccine denial was on full display. I'm all in favor of Karamo, et al repeating "EVERYTHING IS AWESOME" when their party looks like a dumpster fire.
