Two words: fk. No.

If anything they should raise age to 30 for everyone. Every year of my live I've raise that age. I think back when I was 18, I shouldn't have been allowed to vote. I was such I an incredibly stupid person.

16's too young, but I agree with the adage: old enough to serve, old enough to vote. Younger voters self-select, anyway -- the disengaged ones don't vote. And there are 18-year olds who are much better citizens than 50 year olds.

The state level democratic trainwreck continues to pile up. Add KY to the ever growing list of GOP held governorships.

But the citizens and voters of Kentucky disagree with you.

The average intelligence of a citizen of Kentucky is somewhere in between a beagle and a collie.

That is awfully condescending of you. Who appointed you god of the electorate?

"This is a great night for the Republican Party"

That's the GOP and conservative m.o. in a nutshell right there. Not what's best for the people, what's best for the party. A more self-entitled, narcissistic and myopic set of folks outside Lambeau Field have never been found.

They disagree that they're joining the list of GOP governors? And that is further proof of the train wreck for the Democratic Party at state levels?

You get what you vote for. If Kentucky residents getting expanded Medicare didn't vote, or voted for Bevin, so be it. Way too much whining over an off year election in a solidly red state. You should read daily kos for a good chuckle.

Even though it is solidly red, KY has alternated red and blue governors for a long time, and Bevin is dumb as a bag of hammers so this was winnable. It really was a bad choice by KY residents, but as Daddy used to say, you have to live with your choices.

Don't fool yourself, it's what every party that has tasted real political power is like. The party is first, the candidate second, the country third, and the citizens fourth.

Also, didn't the GOP yank support for Bevin for a stretch during crunch time of this cycle? Yet, the Dems still lost--pretty pathetic.

Certainly special interests/lobbyists fall in there somewhere as well.
