Re: The States: Doing Their Own Thing...

Stacey Dash ("Clueless" star turned conservative commentator) entered a California State House race last month. She bowed out today, saying she "wants no part of plantation politics."

As if she had a snowball's chance anyway.

Depends where in CA. There are sections that are right.

Re: The States: Doing Their Own Thing...

Best place to put this I guess: Anchorage is having a local election today, notable for two things 1) It’s our first vote-by-mail election and 2) we have a bathroom bill on the ballot. Part of me is hopeful on the bathroom bill but the other part of me knows this place can be pretty derpy sometimes, though Anchorage is trending liberal these days.

No wonder Scott Walker's people were handing out little baseball cards with his "accomplishments" on them at a Brewers game the other day.

Big win for WI, this tweet has a pretty good rundown of all the things that have been affected by the corrupt WI SC. They basically got bought by the outside groups under investigation who illegally funded Walker and then shut down the investigation. Since then they've wreaked havoc in terms of voting rights, gerrymandering, and getting rid of campaign finance laws.

Re: The States: Doing Their Own Thing...

Problem for Walker isn't that his guy lost, its that he got blown out by double digits. This is the kind of down ballot race that knuckledraggers with well funded special interest money have been cleaning up on ever since Obama idiotically turfed Howard Dean as head of the DNC. Doesn't bode well for Walker's re-election prospects...

I love how Walker aid it is the Dems who run on anger and hate...he sure does enjoy being wrong :D

I think Walker's charmed life as a Koch Bros elected stooge is about to come to an end, at least the elected part. He reminds me a bit of Rick Scott - another guy who through no actual skills of his own managed to ride a favorable national electoral climate for his party into a couple of close wins.
