The States 2: States Rights for Me But Not for Thee

I’ve seen some of the Vermont videos. ICE looks like they learned the wrong lessons from their time in Minnesota.

Wrong, not strong.

Minnesota's dumbest politician and dumbest district.

The furries need to start protesting outside his office regarding op Epic Furry

I don't know about that. We had St Patrick's Day for >100 years before Evacuation Day became a holiday. It was mostly nostalgia and people like me looking up family history.
From the wikipedia article: It is the same day as Saint Patrick's Day, a coincidence that played a role in the establishment of the holiday.[3]

Sure sounds like if it wasn't on St. Patrick's Day, Evacuation Day as a holiday wouldn't exist.

Pick any Irish bar - every day is St. Paddy's Day. 😜

Except Back Bay. Those folks are softer than Tufts.

I'm a 63-year old with arthritis who couldn't hold his own in a Braintree middle school, but I could be King of Newbury Street. What're they gonna do, throw anime plushies at me? Maybe attack me with entitled irony.

As a rule, I'll take my chance with most people with more education than I.

my favorite memory of being in Back Bay was staying at the Hilton, and being in the elevator with both Duke lacrosse team and a gaggle of furries in town, dressed for the convention.

I'm glad you were there to prevent the inevitable sexual assaults otherwise.

Is that Hilton the hotel across the river on Storrow Drive with the multiple gold/yellow levels? I always thought that place looked cool but I never went to a conference or party there.

Edit: Nope. That's a Hyatt.

Boston was such a wonderful city except for everyone born in Boston. One little* bitty genocide and that city makes my top 25.

* OK, so all of central and eastern MA, all of RI, and parts of NH and CT gotta go too, to prevent backsliding. But just once, I promise. Backfill with Norwegians from IA and MN. Place would be paradise.

i couldn't agree more, I love boston except for the locals

oddly enough, the previous year I'd been chased from the Westin in downtown Pittsburgh, as they were the host of a furry convention. They may be nice people, I dunno, but it felt creepy as a single woman traveling for work and seeing all these people dressed as animals just walking around the hotel with those big stupid faces staring at you.

speaking of downtown Pittsburgh, the Pitt tv show seems to be deadly accurate. My god. not sure I've ever worked in a downtown that I've hated as much as Pitt.

Boston is one of maybe 3 cities where I historically find it extra hard not to get unprofessionally drunk when I visit. It's not the local yokels for me, it's something more to do with the history and having so many old bars - how the revolution got planned and financed by guys like Hancock, etc. Now, tell me male privilege ain't a thing.

Houghton is obviously another.
