The States 2: States Rights for Me But Not for Thee

No but its one thing to vote in the guy who might deport you...another to do it after they already start and don't even send you home.

My wife tells me this. I just don't understand it. "Vote for me I will rape your daughter" is no different to me than "See? I keep my promises."

I assume every voter has certain basic cognitive skills. Yeah, they're dumb in terms of abstractions, but every one of them actually got herself to the polls. Every one of them goes to work. They put gas in their car. They pay enough of their bills not be homeless.

And you are telling me they can't reason from "I will harm you" to "I have harmed you"?

That will be interesting though because the machismo bullshit is off the charts for them and they are very vulnerable to Dump's gas cloud.

It was after all black Virginians who elected Youngkin. Minorities are not beholden to a Democratic party that fluffs white billionaires and speaks through corporatist mouthpieces like Schumer. We need to ride this momentum to stronger, farther Left governance and campaigning. Just as we should have for the last 45 years. The donor class aint gonna like that one bit.
No, it wasn’t black people who voted for Youngkin. It was white people, mostly uneducated, but also educated ones, who swung from 2017 to 2021. A really, really quick perusal of the Virginia governor results for those years paint a picture of white people loving what they were hearing from Youngkin. Black people didn’t move at all. Every single Republican county had higher turnout in 2021 than 2017, and many Dem ones did too, like highly educated Fairfax County, which still managed to move right.

I apologize for spreading misinformation. I should have checked first.

Moms for Lunacy...err, "Liberty" had a lot to do with that, I think.

The Dems challenged every seat in Virginia and won some they had no chance to win according to pundits. Do this writ large!

I still to this day do not understand what was so "left" about the Biden administration. I don't think I will ever understand it.
