Raw milk consumption started years ago within the whacky-left's New Agey anti-science movement (along with the vaccine denalism). It expanded to the far-right before COVID as a "manly" anti-soy/anti-science thing, and then I think COVID just opened the pseudoscience floodgates for the rest of the chud population.

It should be noted that it's perfectly fine to make certain cheeses with raw milk, the French have done it for centuries FFS, because the salt content kills the bacteria. But drinking it? Even if you squeezed it straight out of the udder and into a glass, I'll pass, thanks.

Jordan Wood is dropping out of the race for the US Senate and will instead run for Jared Golden's seat in CD-2. Former Secretary of State Matthew Dunlap is the other Democrat in the race. He was going to challenge Golden in the primary, Former Senate President Troy Jackson is currently running for governor and has not said whether he will switch to the House race. One thing that may prevent him is that the governor's race is state and the US House race is federal, so he cannot transfer the money he has raised to a new campaign. The only announced Republican candidate is former governor Paul LePage (who said he was moving to Florida after Janet Mills was elected, but here he still is...)
