The offseason is going down the tubes.

Re: The offseason is going down the tubes.

Despite Hakstol's failures in the NCAA's, he has a very good record against Minnesota. North Dakota fans hate to think about it, but it is very similar to Woog's accomplishments.

Woohoo! We lost to everyone but MN! We win! Break out the champagne! :p

Re: The offseason is going down the tubes.

Another, "just happy to be here" Sioux fan showing their true colors.

I was responding to a post about how Hakstol would blow his record against the Gophers.

I don't think I've ever been a "just happy to be here" type of fan. I'm glad we've had success as a program, but as I said in a previous post, I could really care less if we're better than the Gophers because a lot of teams are better than Minnesota. I simply want to be the best team.

Judging from your posts and rep, I think we can both agree that the key indicator of success is National Titles. It's going to be difficult for Hakstol to shake his image unless he wins one. Saying that, it must drive you guys crazy that a dinky little state like North Dakota is beating you in this most important category. :):D:D

Yes, because you felt the need to defend the honor of non-NC successes for Hak - which of course is another way of saying, "just happy to be here". ;)

I've never been a "just happy to be here" fan. North Dakota is not that type of fan base.

I guess it doesn't really surprise me that a Gopher fan can't distinguish banter within a subset of the larger picture. The only thing Minnesota has on North Dakota is the overall record. That record is growing closer, and when North Dakota takes it over, we'll have all the major talking points in our favor. It has nothing to do about only being happy if we're better than Minnesota.

Actually, we just view North Dakota as another flat part of Canada, so don't think it bothers us much. It's not like you have ever developed any talent, or won in any other sport, eh.

It doesn't surprise me a fan of the Fighting Halos sits in an ivory tower. Every comment you've made and now tried to defend says, "happy to beat Minnesota and the rest of it doesn't matter". Never mind I don't do "talking points" because I'm a Gophers fan and couldn't care less what any other program does. :)

It most certainly does bother you. Why else would 5k of your posts be about your favorite subject, North Dakota. :p :D

And on the subject of developing talent...if one key player for UMN hadn't developed in ND, the Gophers would have at least one less title.

No, my 5K are actually mainly anti-Dirty, but his 47K show how obsessed with MN North Dakota fans are.

Re: The offseason is going down the tubes.

I know you don't want to get into a debate about crossover talent helping win NCs. :p

Just tossing it back at Happy, who seems to forget that non-MN players suit up for the Gophers from time to time...including [gasp] Canadians. ;)

Please don't lump the rest of us in with him. :D

Re: The offseason is going down the tubes.

HA HA! Happy has the hots for you. :D

What I think Happy is saying is this:

UND is to Minnesota as Happy is to Dirty. :D

Yes, but I am ten times more to the point. He has about 43k worth of messages that are just a waste of bandwidth.

Re: The offseason is going down the tubes.

UND Police Lt. Dan Lund told the Herald that "it was their own property, so there was nobody's property that was damaged other than their own ... They said they just kind of routinely destroy each other's stuff."

When first approached by police, Lund said, Finley ran around a house but stopped when officers told him to. Frattin ran into a home, not stopping when instructed to, and was consequently charged with fleeing, Lund said.

Police said Finley showed them a credit card with someone else's name on it. When asked if his name was the one on the card, Finley said it was, Lund said. At the jail Finley gave his real name.

Police said Finley told them somebody else gave him the credit card. Lund said police think the credit card belongs to a friend of Finley, but the matter is still under investigation.

That settles it. I don't think Frattin and Finley should be allowed to breed. When UND players reach rock bottom, they start to dig.:D
