The offseason is going down the tubes.

What can be said, the NHL draft is over, BSU and UNO are in the WCHA, and now all that is left is arguing over minor unimportant prattle, and when UND will pick it's new mascot, "The Fighting Sugar Beet Farmers" or whatever. This is the dog days for college hockey.

Don't forget discussing when the next assistant coach will leave Minnesota.

UAH fans might not agree with that...

Re: The offseason is going down the tubes.

These are the dog days of summer.... the days that Sioux fans silently chuckle to themselves that college hockey sites again pick them to come in at the bottom of the WCHA next season and goofer fans, perhaps delirious from the heat, forget about their supposedly talented teams tanking the last couple of years and start up with the short lived smack-talking that lasts only up to the first series with North Dakota.

I noticed North Dakota fans no longer talk about how important it is to win a National Championship, must be because this years freshmen were in kindergarten when UND won it's last one. bragging about hakstool choking away another one isn't a good way to go through life, son.

Sioux fans know how important national championships are and we are lucky that we have a program that gives us a chance year in and year out to win one. Goofer fans cannot say such things, because in order to win a national title you must make the NCAA regionals first. I'm sure I do not have to remind you that 7 is still greater than 5...

Re: The offseason is going down the tubes.

Don't you have to worry about your whole staff being deported back to Canada?

Nah. UND coaches, unlike Gopher coaches, aren't spending their days scouring the Internet for job openings and working on their resumes because they actually want to be there. This means they have time to take care of the duties their job entails, in this case making sure their work visa is up to date.

Re: The offseason is going down the tubes.

Not anymore. As long as you play one more game than Minnesota Sioux fans now consider such a season a success.

playing one more game than Minnesota because we made the regionals would make our season slightly more successful... winning the McNaughton Cup while playing one more game than Minnesota would make our season much more successful...

wow, the whole 7 is greater than 5 thing. no one who can use a computer was actually alive when UND won most of those, so go ahead, and brag how und used to win championships, but now, your only goal is to make the ncaas. and, by the way, everyone knows hakstool is a ncaa choker, so you do not really have a chance at winning a NC anyway.

you choked. you can't win the big one anymore. UND fans are now perfectly happy with mediocrity. I like it. it's hard to be arrogant when you guys suck.

So only people who are under 25 can use a computer?

Re: The offseason is going down the tubes.

The offseason just beat Tech 3 to 1. Malcolm Gwilliam caught swine flu during the game, Jordan Baker has pancreatic cancer and Brett Olson spontaneously combusted.

Re: The offseason is going down the tubes.

While all you WCHA fans are busy being miserable, BU fans will continue to celebrate their national championship during what truly are the DOG days of summer.
