2) They get to play within 50 miles of home for the 13th time in a row. The NCAA should try and treat them a little better.

Didn't know St. Louis was < 50 miles from Boston.

Simple Math screwed us. I want a smoke filled room full of guys that let my team in based on name recognition and recent play. There was no need to even watch the selection show, everyone had figured out who would get in already. Where's the fun in that? Bring back the suspense!

My team got also got screwed because we had to win our conference tournament to get in. Someone else should have taken out Notre Dame for us. We can't seem to win against Jeff Jackson. (maybe I should go put that in the CCHA airing of greivances thread)

BU's in the same boat. Smoked Filled Room=Michigan and BU in the tourney. (Niagra and Yale OUTTA HERE!)

Simple Math screwed us. I want a smoke filled room full of guys that let my team in based on name recognition and recent play. There was no need to even watch the selection show, everyone had figured out who would get in already.

We wanted to spare people the horror of turning on ESPN, even for 30 minutes...

People are right, this bracket is complete garbage! The Committee knows full well that Easter Sunday is the holiest day of the year in the Catholic Church, and yet they schedule BC for a game at 9 PM the night before. Why so late? Given that mass is at 8 AM you'd expect everyone to be asleep around that time.

And then to add insult to insult, they match us up against Union, who WON THEIR CONFERENCE TITLE! Look at who all the other two seeds got. Denver? They get UNH, who didn't even make the conference semifinals. North Dakota? They get Niagara. FOR REAL?! And then Miami gets St. Cloud State who, you guessed it, DIDN'T WIN THEIR CONFERENCE!

And if we do manage to get by the Union juggernaut, we have to play ON Easter, which will be extremely distracting.

It's amazing how badly the committee UTTERLY HOSED US this year. Hopefully BC finds the internal strength and determination to battle through it and make it to Pittsburgh anyway.

I think BC should just forfeit there game on religious principle. That would show those evil people at the NCAA.

First of all it's $80 for three games of playoff hockey, $27 bucks a game is not a terrible deal for the quality of play that you will see. Quinnipiac should travel well, and Union brought probably the largest contingent to AC last weekend. I don't even pretend to know where Canisius is but this is the time for the fans to show up.

This. Union had the most fans in AC and the most fans in the Bridgeport Regional last year. BC will obviously have the most fans in Providence, but I know Union will bring a lot as well. I expect Quinnipiac will have a bunch of fans there too.

why do i continue to read about boston college being screwed? if anybody got screwed it was quinnipiac having to get through bc to advance to the frozen four! maybe the committee could of split up minnesota and north dakota it seems every year those two teams are placed in the same region, bc has a cake walk to the FF and the wcha teams have to run into one another to make it there, is the committee afraid of an all wcha frozen four? i think so!

How many years in a row has RPI lost to a lower seed in tournament? How long since they won a tourn game or scored a goal in tourn?

If you can't beat Brown at home in best of 3 you shouldn't go. Lose one, maybe. 2/3 at home, means stay home

You guys do realize that without BC, there would be about 100 people excited about attending in Providence for Quinnipiac, Canisius and Union.

Exactly. Now they can get 50 more fans to show up in the 2nd period and bail if BC is losing.

In Manchester, the UNH fans will be there for puck drop, but run to beat the traffic with 2 minutes left in a tie game.

It's idiotic because the most dominant regular season BC team of this run played in St. Louis against a WCHA team in the first round as a reward for being #1 overall. It wasn't a screw job, it was just bad luck due to UNH hosting as #4 in Mancheuster and Yale hosting as the 1 in Bridgept. I don't understand why people find it so complicated or surprising that the committee tries to keep eastern teams in the east and western teams in the west. Whoa!!

BC (and other nearby schools) are obviously fortunate that two regionals are annually driving distance. But this has more to do with proximity to population centers than any sort of conspiracy. But hey, whatever floats your boats.

BC is screwed because of the following 2 reasons.

1) They once again are placed into the "powder puff" regional, the one that the NCAA has made sure that no scary WCHA team is allowed, and the other teams have Krach ratings that wouldn't even qualify for the tourney.

The only "scary" WCHA team I see in this field is Wisconsin. The rest are all good, solid teams with a chance to make some noise. Anyway, just look at BC's history against WCHA teams in the tourney under York. Now that's scary, scary good. I'm sure if more WCHA teams were shipped east, you'd be the first person complaining that it's not fair so many of the big, bad WCHA teams have to travel all the way to the northeast to play their games in virtual home games for their opponents.

van andel arena will look to the likes of the X during the final five in the past years with a lot of maroon and gold and the st patties green from the like of the dirt farmers formally known as a weird looking tic tac toe puzzle on the front of their uniforms

Ha, you might be right considering the start times of these games and it being Easter weekend, but I don't think that was part of you're reasoning. BC has had great fan support for a long time now. Get with the times.

I don't suppose there's any chance the regional games can be found on satellite radio? I'll be driving Friday afternoon, and it would be nice to be able to listen to the games.

Funny, I was in Detroit this weekend. Had a great time, visited several nice restaurants and bars and stayed in a nice hotel all convenient to the arena. Now Minneapolis and St Paul are terrific cities, but there are plenty of places you don't want to walk around at night...or even in broad daylight.
