Maybe there should be a "Geezer Regional", a playin between Michigan and BU. Seriously, when was the last NCAA tournament without Jack Parker or Red Berenson?

For this sort of thread, shouldn't there be more Western fans? After all, they were 16...

So looks like once again the committee caters to BC. God forbid they have to take a plane and travel west for a regional. The indignity! All under the pretense of "attendance" purposes. Yeah, right. :rolleyes:

The committee doesn't cater to any team. If it was BU instead of BC, BU would have been placed in Providence.

Not to mention the beginning of the York era resulted in two trips out west (old 12 team format) where BC went 4-0 and knocked off the #1 team in the nation back-to-back years. Or perhaps you want to go back to the 2011 season where BC couldn't be placed in either eastern regional as a #1 seed because UNH was hosting as a #4 seed and Yale was hosting as a #1 seed.

You guys do realize that without BC, there would be about 100 people excited about attending in Providence for Quinnipiac, Canisius and Union. No offense to any of those programs, but that is not exactly an appealing group for the casual fan going to plunk down $80 a ticket.

By comparison, the Manchester regional will be ten times more exciting with Denver and Wisconsin taking on Lowell and UNH.

In that case, then BC better beat Union or the crowd for Sunday afternoon's final will rival the attendance in Atlantic City.

The Regional in Providence looks like a BC Holiday Tourney....most years those other 3 schools could be brought in for BC to get two wins, two home gates. I mean seriously....at the beginning of the season if you told a BC fan that is what their Regional at the NCAA 's would look like, in order to get to the FF you have to beat Union and then the winner of Canisius and Quinnipiac...I think they (and most schools) would take that.

I know - things have changed, but I think a lot of BC fans - if they are being honest - would say they like their Regional over the other 3.

Good luck to everyone's teams still in it....

My team didn't get screwed but its fans did. Our game won't be televised... it'll be on ESPN3 online. That sucks! :mad:

You are correct if they take the Everett Turnpike. If they take RTE 3 it is about .05 miles further away. They won't be serving beer there since it is a NCAA event so hopefully that will suppress the Lowell crowd. :)

Well even with BC I'm not going to plunk down $80 a ticket. I'm sitting it out this year.

Mr. Woe is me, fan of the #1 overall seed.

I'd give anything for Michigan just to be the last team in and continue the now defunct streak.

I'll be there so it doesn't affect me, but there are many I know who can't make it due to family obligations with the holiday weekend and all.

I'd give anything for Michigan just to be the last team in and continue the now defunct streak.

People are right, this bracket is complete garbage! The Committee knows full well that Easter Sunday is the holiest day of the year in the Catholic Church, and yet they schedule BC for a game at 9 PM the night before. Why so late? Given that mass is at 8 AM you'd expect everyone to be asleep around that time.

And then to add insult to insult, they match us up against Union, who WON THEIR CONFERENCE TITLE! Look at who all the other two seeds got. Denver? They get UNH, who didn't even make the conference semifinals. North Dakota? They get Niagara. FOR REAL?! And then Miami gets St. Cloud State who, you guessed it, DIDN'T WIN THEIR CONFERENCE!

And if we do manage to get by the Union juggernaut, we have to play ON Easter, which will be extremely distracting.

It's amazing how badly the committee UTTERLY HOSED US this year. Hopefully BC finds the internal strength and determination to battle through it and make it to Pittsburgh anyway.

We **** the bed for the last month.... No sense throwing a fit over a lackluster performance.... Imo

Sublowski's sophomore slump is over... Lets hope to finish the season better next year, or at least stay relevant.
