Summer is going great, thanks for posting that article. I always love seeing these pop up, it's great to see that Burke's story is not only being remembered outside the Miami community but spurring action, albeit on a very small scale, but it has to start somewhere, right? If these conversations and actions such as Sopel's, however benign and seemingly insignificant, endure they really will be/already are one hell of an addition to Burke's legacy.

Well the Frozen Four for 2013 and 2014 go to Pittsburg and Philly respectfully....

with the 2011 class we have coming in not a long shot we could be in either location. Good to see since pittsburg is driving distance. I know I am looking ahead but would be nice.

Speaking of 2011 class. Where is everyone playing next year. Mullin is in Fargo. Coleman and Wideman 2 are in indy. Murphy and biggs on the US18 with Hartman on the US17 but he's still itsea away. Kuraly was in a few games in indy. Do they own him? And where's gacek going. I think he's outgrown the competition out east and hopefully plays ushl

The Ohio AAA Blue Jackets are reporting that both Sean Kuraly and Connor Murphy will play for Team USA in the U-18 Ivan Hlinka Tournament!

Kurlay will be in Indy next season unless he gets a last minute offer from the USNTDP. Indy also owns Gacek's rights, but all indications are that he will stay out East with NH. It isn't the competition of the USHL and he could still end up out there but the EJ is a very solid league. I know he had hopes of joining the USNTDP but that didn't pan out.

Didn't Kurlay play some with the USNTDP last year also? Not surprised by Murphy he is schedule to play a full season for the USNTDP. That would put 3 players on that team in that tournament heading to oxford in 2011.....ummmm not bad eh?

I can tell you one thing, there is a lot of hype and expectation for both Biggs and Mullin for 2011 around the cincy area. One concern I have is them putting pressure on themselves coming back home to play. I know both are extremely excited and this might be a long year for with the anticipation awaiting.

I know Biggs's family eagerly awaits to be able to watch him play more frequently.

Yea be interesting to see how Crane does. Known the kid since he was a bantam. Haven't seen him since he went too green bay but I know even up at honeybake he had some of the same issues that plagued him down here.

Yes, I believe Kuraly did play for the USNTDP last year. In fact, according to the AAA Jackets, he led the U18 team in scoring this past season with 78 points (31g-47a) in only 48 games.

He doesn't show up on any USNTDP roster - definitely not the U18 team as he's a 93 and the U18 team was loaded with NHL draftees - and wasn't there when the kid played them this past year. The USHL site shows that he played 5 games with the Ice in November. Think it was the AAA Jackets teams that he lead in scoring, not the USNTDP.

I was wondering about that because I couldn't verify it myself so I quoted the Jackets website since it was the only source I saw.
