Im sure the Bears found a tendency on film that Masthy goes left when asked to pick a corner...or based on the wind knew he'd try to direct it left.
Wish someone had informed the Packers coverage team of that tendency.
Re: the hold, Mike Perreira on Twitter:
"On Knox punt return, #21 held the gunner and he grabs and pulls him from behind early in the kick, you can only see it in the live shot."
Vikings (0-3) go to Arrowhead and play the Chiefs (0-3) in Luck Bowl I.
I do agree with that assessment of the situation, because not only does it take longer but the flag is no where near the 35 yard line. I would assume the issue is that ref has to backpedal to cover the play down the field and couldn't get the flag out until he stopped running.Kind of strange if the ref is calling that, because he doesn't throw the flag for several seconds.

There wasn't a big difference in points between the 2 of them and Cam still has more fantasy points on the season...QB is not my problem, its that Arian Foster is worthless now, and my "best" WR is a rookie from the Bengals.you started Cam Newton over Aaron Rodgers...you deserve it this week.
I have faith that MN can find a way to lose that game. The NFL season is rigorous and teams need to improve every week in order to compete. The 'queens know they are up against stiff competition in the Chiefs & I predict they will suck it up and start their collapse next week in the 2nd quarter.

Enough of those and you can count your Lucky stars.I have faith they WILL lose that game.

The question I have now is the foul we found obviously happen between the 25 & 35 yard line so why did the bears get the ball at the 10 to start? That would indicate the ref called a foul at the 20...You're probably right.
Playcall was great, I sort of feel like it's dependent on the punter to play into their hands though. Or heck, maybe it wasn't even designed at all.

but they make it look so precise!Since the penalty was during the kick and not the return, isn't it taken from the spot of the catch, rather than the spot of the foul?
Also, this is the same sport where first downs are measured to the inch based upon spots taken at an angle by a person on the move who must judge forward progress of a ball tucked into the armpit of a padded warrior. The ball is then aligned with the placement of a foot by the spotter by yet another person. And you're wondering why they might miss a few yards here or there on the penalty, even int he best case scenario where the ref got it right?
Rewatched again and it doesn't look like the ref is delaying at all and he probably could see the hold because he could have seen how much 21 yanks down on Bush's shoulder. Johnny Knox catches the punt at the 11, the flag lands at about the 20 even though the holding occurred between the 35 and 25. If the penalty is from the catch, ball should have been at 5.5, no the 9.5. If its from the spot foul...it should have been between the 25 and 15. Very interesting and I agree with unofan, wasted play because they are still in horrible shape to actually win. Should have pulled it out earlier in the 4th quarter. Give your team a chance to use that wonderful play as momentum, etc.but they make it look so precise!I posed the question about the spot because I'm not sure. You could be right...also looking at the video again. The ref that had to do the running, was not the ref that threw the flag so I'm even more confused by that play. The video I posted clearly shows hold, but the ref that threw the flag (standing near the goal line) would have had a difficult time seeing that, not to mention the delay despite him being mostly stationary.
