The Next Professional Wrestling Thread: Here Comes The $$$$$

Re: The Next Professional Wrestling Thread: Here Comes The $$$$$

Interesting. I wonder where college hockey fans rank. On the one hand, super white, lots from the prairies, long tradition of rural popularity.

But on the other, you know, college.

then again on the other, you know, moneyed.

hell in the cell

shane o mac vs fatboy ko (zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz)

uso's vs new day (that's ok if the new day win. cause they are bootylicious)

someone needs to recruit more talent.

Roman Reigns and a few others will be sitting out the next PPV due to viral meningitis.

Your last minute fill-in: Kurt Angle. Yes, THAT Kurt Angle.

/and he can still go

Forgot this thread still existed…

I will say, AEW has me coming back to pro wrestling though, CM Punk just debuting with them (and Daniel Bryan supposedly to debut soon) has been a cherry on top.

Joey Gacy, a guy who's "Progressive Liberal" act made him a heel in the South, debuted in the WWE.

FOX/NY Post/Daily Fail, in all willful ignorance, run headlines saying he's poking at the "Woke Left."

Lol, I guess Vince called in a favor at the Post to try to distract from the fact that AEW had 20k last night at Arthur Ashe and had one of the shows of the year, likely with ratings and demos being ahead of Raw.

Ring of Honor is reportedly releasing everyone from their contracts at the end of the year.
Sounds like they're gonna do TV tapings next month, run the Final Battle PPV and then take a hiatus until April. But with everyone being released from their contracts who knows how they'll be able to go forward.

They did real good by paying all their wrestlers during the pandemic despite not running shows and ROH has frankly been a huge influence on pro wrestling today (Punk, Danielson, Seth Rollins, Samoa Joe, and pretty much most of AEW all were ROH wrestlers at some point). I'd like to see them come back but preferably not being owned by Sinclair.

For those who haven't ever seen it, I'd recommend looking up online some matches from their archives featuring Danielson, Punk, and Samoa Joe (especially Punk vs Joe II).

The problem with it is the only way it really works is if MJF beats the tar out of Punk. Otherwise it's just WWE all over again.
Eh, MJF is the classic sniveling heel that wins only by crook (and he does it so well). Absolutely he should be going over Punk but certainly not clean.

There's not really heels anymore is there? I mean sort of, but sort of not. The best part of the interchange was when he compared Punk to Cena. Cause that's basically what he is now. He is exactly what he hated back in the day.
