I asked about WCHA TV for the playoffs. While I think that it's reasonable to do single game PPV for the Final 4ive, I think that it makes all the sense in the world to offer a package that covers the first round next weekend. I want to pay for that and watch all 8-12 of those games from my couch! I want to be able to follow the conference on Twitter and be able to shift from game. Maybe I'm crazy. [Okay, I am crazy.]
IF this interests you, please sound off, because I want to flood the conference about this. I have Doug Spencer's already on the matter.

If you paid for the season do you get the playoffs?
Why is this league tournament called the "Final Five"
What's "Five". I count four teams and three (maybe four) games.
I got the sense that we don't when trading email with Doug Spencer at the league office.

We had the Big12 and Big 10 name it for us. Our bad.
Except that is incorrect. It's always been the WCHA Final Five, or F5 for short. You guys just kept the name.![]()

America One says my WCHA TV subscription says it expires on June 1. I'll be hacked if it's lying to me.
Not sure what you mean. The way I'm seeing thing is that Minn St & Ferris will be 1 & 2, Alaska 3 and Tech and BG have clinched. If UAA loses, Tech plays Bowling Green with the other 3 spots to be determined between LSSU, Bemidji, NMU and UAA.

S... the wife says Super Six and Frozen Four were already taken....![]()
Yeah because we're so sure Mankato will win? UAA has clinched nothing. Not sure what you mean.
UAA is in the playoffs for sure whether they win lose or draw tonight as long as Kato wins.
Just not sure of their destination in the playoffs.
Or is that what you meant?
But still... what does ''5'' have to do with anything? Five teams? No.... Five games? No.
I understand that the oWCHA called it Final Five - but I still don't know why. I imagined that there were five teams or somehow, five games in the tourney.
Actually, is it still even called the Final 5? I guess I could check WCHA.com but that wouldn't help my post count on this board.

Read it sunshine:Try paying attention to reality whilst living in pony land and stomping around like a little brat. UAA is in the playoffs. Regardless. Of anything. In. They lost their chance for home ice.
I screwed that up. If UAA is at 26 points, it's 11-13-4. The tie with BSU would go to the C) tiebreaker, W% against teams down the table. UAA really better hope that MSU is the #1 seed, because they went 2-2-0 v. the Mavs against 0-2-0 v. the Bulldogs; the Beavers are 1-3-0 against both squads. Sorry about that. They haven't clinched.
I'll have to consider this, too, sooooo ...
1. NMU ties in Huntsville tonight, 12-14-2 / 26 pts
2. UAA loses to UAF, 11-13-4 / 26 pts
3. BSU beats BG, 11-13-4 / 26 pts
4. LSSU beats FSU, 13-15-0
We've already determined that the A) tiebreaker is out. The B) tiebreaker goes to LSSU, then NMU, and UAA and BSU are then still tied based on; iterating back through the A) tiebreaker doesn't work. Then you go all the way to the C) tiebreaker as listed above.
