Re: The New WCHA IV (2013-14): Unlocked and Cocked

Your post validates that you really don't have a clue what the UAA/UA_ thing is all about.
And please reread my post.
Nowhere does it say anything about any teams other than UAA/UA_.
Please point out where it says or infers that we're head and shoulders above anyone but UA_.
And by the way that includes Alabama who tied us once down there.
It appears to me you imagined a bunch of things into my post that were neither stated nor implied.
I'm not sure where you were coming from but you were way off base on this one.
It's a new day and a great day to be a Seawolf!

If two points is head and shoulders above UAF, it must equate to a short fat guy with no neck and a lot of dandruff.

Come on Squarebanks. Fergys a nice guy, has no dandruff I've ever noticed and has done a pretty fair job considering where he has to work.

Will know in a couple of weeks on what teams will be flying the friendly skies to Alaska for a third time.
You should come with the luckey teams and do some backcountry hiking, the bears should be waking up about that time.

Come on Pinky, tell us how YOU would know there's nothing like 3 trips to Alaska in a season? Cuz I'm guessing your hockey travel doesn't take you out of your stall very often, likely not past your keyboard.

For the record, I never felt that UAH was being dissed. I'm an engineer. I like uniformity wherever possible. We weren't going to win those games anyway, especially when you saw what we did on Saturday night. If there's a standard of "get here three hours before the game or it's getting postponed and X happens to you as a result", then great!

Okay, I've updated the spreadsheet and now the team that's out is Tech. I'll write more later, but I'm sure that Tech fans fully realize that the sweep this weekend really hurt their chances. The teams essentially flip-flopped: one is now in the home ice hunt, and the other is missing out.

You'll note that I don't follow the model 100%, but when I don't, I lay down my thinking in some text below the games. Also, the Week 24 tab has information about tiebreakers. We go all the way to the third tiebreaker, overall W%. I think that my notes should explain.

I'll have a full piece after I get some coffee in me and decide if I want to do best/worst today.
