I can think of a dozen companies that would be better fits with the WCHA than Starbucks, and I'd venture that someone at the WCHA that gets paid a whole lot more than I do already has been in contact with them.
Companies like 3M, Red Baron, Wells Fargo (MN-ish based) and 5/3, Amway, Little Ceasers (MI-ish based) make a ton more sense than some company who's CEO graduated from NMU.
The other thing this Pony seems to forget is that Starbucks reports to its shareholders. And if sponsoring the WCHA isn't going to be profitable, they're not going to be a charity for the WCHA.
