The New WCHA, 2014 Offseason: See-ya, Bruce

Re: The New WCHA, 2014 Offseason: See-ya, Bruce

By a dollar.

Or you probably had the $25 discount code from NHL2015. Or used a VPN to get a discount from signing up from a different country.
I got an early renewal discount.

I read somewhere — I think that it was Chris Dilks's piece — that Jutzi may be back after Christmas. Is that legit?

Shane's story/blog made it sound that way. If I remember correctly from that story it sounded like a family issue. I know nothing from the inside. Just what Shane printed.

Yeah, I just re-read that. I'm hoping that things go well for the young man, hockey or no.

It's possible, but he's not enrolled in school, which is interesting. Things are being kept very tight with his situation and from what I know, it would surprise me if he was back.

one things for sure. The league's ability to get more than 1 post season bid is going to be determined very, very early. Good luck to all teams in their non conference schedule this season.

I generally agree, but there were a few scenarios last season where UAA could've won the tournament with FSU and MSU getting in as at-large bids.

That is still dictated by how well FSU and MSU did in NC and within the WCHA

No kidding. UAF and UAA start off the first four games with two B1G teams, a Hockey East team, and Air Force (AHA). Then UAF has two against NCHC Western Michigan (not sure who Anchorage's third NC opponent is). Point being, if the league does well I believe we can easily get two and maybe three into the regionals.

October 24/25 with the same Hockey East team but at their place

At Maine the week after the Brice.

Bemidji State opens with a home and home with #2 North Dakota, then travels to #1 Minnesota. They also have St. Cloud (currently #7) at home over Thanksgiving and then the North Star Cup in January, playing Duluth on Friday and then either Mankato or Minnesota on Saturday. I think if BSU can get three wins out of that non-conference schedule, it will be a success!

Re: The New WCHA, 2014 Offseason: See-ya, Bruce

Don't forget the non-conference matchup against NMU.

Which is going to blow peoples minds when fans of the schools realize that their team gained no points in the standings for playing a conference mate.

I'm sure that Walt would be happy if UAH would save any wins against the 'Cats for those two games.

The Mavericks have...

@ Nebraska-Omaha
@ Nebraska-Omaha
@ Minnesota-Duluth
Minnesota Duluth
Princeton
Princeton
North Star Cup - Minnesota
North Star Cup - Bemidji or Duluth

I think they need two losses or less with that schedule. Must sweep Princeton at home. Obviously a win over Minnesota would be huge.

Michigan Tech host Michigan and UMD, has the GLI (vs Michigan, vs Ferris St/Mich St) and goes to Wisconsin.

BG has Miami home and away, at Clarkson, OSU home and away, and Robert Morris home and away. The home game against Robert Morris will be played outdoors at the Toledo Walleye Winterfest.
