Also, as davyd83 noted, competition with the Havoc for ice time is the big problem. We just had a tractor pull in town, but I think the TV advertisements told me that it was the first one since 2004. [I'm not in the target demographic.] Also, there hasn't been junior hockey in Huntsville since 2000-01 with the Junior C Huntsville Tornado, owned by and named after the same team interests that ran an SEHL team before taking a year off for whatever reasons at the time. That team restarted and has since been renamed after being sold. The SPHL Havoc are part-owned by the entity that runs the Von Braun Center. You can see how well that's worked out for us in the past, but we've been told that it'll be better going forward because they know that they're at risk of losing revenue from our home games if they kill the goose that laid the hockey golden egg in Huntsville. Another question that came to mind is that UCONN Is thinking of leaving the AHA for the Hockey East, is the AHA a possibility if the WCHA doesn't take UAH?

Are you saying the nWCHA is going to be competing for UAH now as compared to wondering about it?

I was asking Geoff is the AHA a possibility if the WCHA "doesn't" take UAH? I didn't infer there was a competition.

If everyone should have one, then the Gov't should hand them out with Social Security cards.

what if you win that three day trip to Tahiti, all expenses included, trip? you'll wish you chose door #1 instead AND got a passport.

what if you hit the powerball this week and have to run to the Grand Caymans to stash the money?

what if (fill in the blank) gets elected and you need to move to Canada?

what if the Chinese really do run the country and you have to go to Beijing to buy an iPod?

what if you want low cost Mexican drugs?

Huntsville's metropolitan area, per the 2010 Census, is 417,593, 11.5% larger than Anchorage. ;) Oh, and we put a man on the moon.

But does anyone get a passport just in case they might decide to leave the country at a moment's notice one day? That seems weird. Getting a passport is a hassle if you aren't actually planning to use it. Just sayin'...

Yeah, I never had a passport until I planned a trip to Scotland. Since I had no need for one, why bother?

Work had me apply for and get a passport the first week I was working, and they paid for it. Didn't use it for nearly 4 years.
