Re: The New WCHA (2013-14)

Don't forget about the WCHA having all sh^tty teams. That's a difference too.

The NCHC is the greatest hoax around. None of them realize that outside the world of college hockey, none of them, except maybe Miami and W Michigan has any national profile at all. They made a foolish move by not allowing Notre Dame their own TV contract, which Hockey East gladly accepted. At least Notre Dame would have given the NCHC someone with a national identity. NCHC, I hope you don't expect big $$$ for that big Friday Night Colorado College-Nebraska-Omaha or St Cloud-UMD broadcast. Knick Knack Hour on the Home Shopping Network will put up a bigger national number at a much lower production cost. NCHC=overrated!

Re: The New WCHA (2013-14)

Well that is a wonderful little rant you went on there, but doesn't have much to do with what I said.

Re: The New WCHA (2013-14)

Sh*tty hockey teams? Bemidji State has more NCAA tournament wins than UNO, SCSU, and WMU combined.

Way to really pick the cream of the crop NCHC!

That's more like it! Actually comment on something I said. You are learning.

But yeah, nowhere did I say the NCHC didn't also have sh^tty teams, simply that the WCHA is 100% sh^tty teams.

Ha! Quit bringing logic into this. They are clearly just better than us.

This is where you're mistaken. They're not 100% sh*tty teams. It's more like 56% sh*tty teams but 100% sh*tty travel destinations.

Not that the NCHC has room to talk about travel destinations. Oxford, OH? Kalamazoo, MI? Grand Forks, ND? Talk about middle of nowhere locations.

Be fair, you can leave Oxford and be inside the Cincinnati loop within 25 minutes, it's not THAT far out there.

Not that The Natti isn't a 100% sh*tty travel destination.

Oxford? Middle of nowhere? About 40 minutes from Cincinnati...great town and campus. Kalamazoo ranks up there as a pretty good place to visit as well. Now Grand Forks...still can't think of a reason to go there!

****, knew I should have gone with cell phone service, there may even be a map for that. :D
:D

I would love to have gone down for the NMU series last week. It just wasn't in the cards to make. Hope that if NMU doesn't play there next year, that a Non-Conference game gets played in the first few years after switching conferences.

Speaking of losing rivals, I really hope that NMU works out an agreement with tOSU. That's one rival matchup I don't want to see disappear.

Re: The New WCHA (2013-14)

Have you been there? There's plenty to do.
No, but the way the comment was read, it sounded like you and Doc Emrick went to the same school while getting your collegiate degrees: Minor in Marketing Not-So-Great Locations.

Doc Emrick (during the Wings/Blackhawks game) "Rockford Illinois: If you're headed our way... well... *awkward pause*"

(He was talking about call-ups from the Blackhawks AHL affiliate, and discussing I-90.

Re: The New WCHA (2013-14)

So, to recap:

Oxford, OH - Plenty of "talent" on campus.
Marquette, MI - Free laptop with paid tuition.
Grand Forks, ND - Free sandbags for every student.

Free? Our state is in the black because we don't give anything away for free.
