Re: The new Super League is going down the tubes.

What does WMU bring to any conference at this stage other than being a team to round things out (if needed)

Re: The new Super League is going down the tubes.

That article reads like Notre Dame's third choice might be creating a Eastern NCHC...maybe WMU, ND, BC, BU, Maine, New Hampshire...that would be a wonderful kick to the nuts of the NCHC schools!

All games would be in prime time for Versus (7pm Et starts). Two big regions: City of Boston and Notre Dame's NBC followers. And teams that are instantly recognizable for bouncyball fans (BC, BU, ND).

I hope the call the league the American Collegiate Hockey Conference. And then schedule interleague play with the NCHC. :D

Re: The new Super League is going down the tubes.

Its funny to me that the NCHC might not work out the way that those teams hoped it would...If this does happen I most certainly will feel the pain of the leftovers of HEA, but think whatever you want...

I think that the sky will not fall for NCHC, I think that your last post was hypocritical, and I think you need to get over the butt-hurt...

Haha...
I thought you were done being bitter?
Oh, I'm sorry, my bitterness isn't going anywhere. Your team still royally screwed a bunch of old friends.

They sky wasn't falling on the WCHA either jackhole. I don't really care what you think of me because you just think I'm a bitter fan of a left behind team. We have 2 more years of the current WCHA so if you expect me to just shut up and "sit in the back" while your program and others act like nothings wrong you're retarded.

I was never in favor of this move but I will hope for the best for our teams in the future... I didn't expect you to sit in the back, I fully expected you to keep whining.

Re: The new Super League is going down the tubes.

There are not many hockey schools who can go independent and Notre Dame isn't one of them.

Re: The new Super League is going down the tubes.

the new "super league" is just plain dumb.

You heard it here first.

I'm here to help.

I don't know about that...
They have connections in the east and the west, they're fairly centrally located in comparison to big name schools in each region, and they have huge name-brand recognition (granted that is not hockey name recognition, but more as a school in general) that will give them power in scheduling series with any school out there. Add in a new arena, and they should have no problem filling a schedule.

The Big 10 at six teams and if the NCHC stayed at six, that's a LOT of games they need to fill. They play each of those teams yearly, that's 24 games, plus the remaining CCHA schools would BEG to play Notre Dame... probably do a 3 for 1 or 4 for one deal. That being said, I think 444 meant how do you drum up support for a school that then has no "real" rivals, no conference standings/trophy to play for, and no conference tourney, which can come with a nice check. I agree... if a team could pull it off it'd be a Michigan, Wisconsin or Minnesota, and even then it'd be a longshot. Notre Dame's problem won't be filling the schedule... it'll be filling the building when they don't have as much to play for.

I thought Notre Dame was a cathedral somewhere. It's a school with a hockey team?

It's far too late in the game to attempt to paint other's as Butt Hurt when the "Super League" has had the BHHC moniker for about a year.

But your butt hurt is so over the top!

But your proclamations are blatant exaggerations of a massively small sub-set.

Seriously, how effing stupid is it to call us butt hurt when we labeled your new conference with that name an effing year ago? Pretty effing stupid.

Thank you for making my point more clear. ;)

Yeah why limit the damage to the small midwestern programs? Undermine some small east-coast schools too! It's only fair!
