How in the hell is Grimaldi's goal beating Cook's 84-16 percent? A goal isn't exciting just bc it is a breakaway and Rocco didn't put on that much of a move

How could Pitt's goal only get 74% when it was clearly better than Kossilas? Because SCSU fans voted for Kossilas regardless of which goal was better. Every fan base will do it.

It's supposed to be a fun, simple way to include fan interaction but holy f the whining has been pretty ridiculous (not saying you're whining). Fans should take it for what it's worth, a chance to see some great goal videos and have fun voting for a completely meaningless honor.

Although, I get a kick out of the fans comparing it to the hobey vote and saying it better not be how the conference picks all of its awards.

Pitts' goal was better than Kossila's, but should probably have beaten it by about a 2 to 1 vote ratio. And Cook's should have beaten Grimaldi's by a 3 to 1 ratio. :D

Interesting quote hints at what Motzko thinks about the All-NCHC voting process...

Bob Motzko said:
I’m sure there’s a lot of swing votes and a lot of guys who deserve to be there,” Motzko said. “Jonny Brodzinski may be one of the top six forwards in the country. That says a lot about the depth of our league.
Not top seven, top six. He's saying pretty bluntly that he believes Brodzinski was robbed.

So Motzko has been around SCSU long enough to begin whining like all of their fans about piddly little things. Good job, Bob!

What Motzko said doesn't sound like whining to me, but I will defer to you since you are the expert.

Fans whining about piddly little things?
You mean like UND fans whining about a players goal celebration in his own building?
That kind of piddly little thing?

Sounds to me like somebody who sticks up for his players (unlike Hak, who keeps a bus schedule handy just so he'll never miss an opportunity to throw a player under one).

No, not like that at all. Over the top goal celebrations cause children in Africa to stave. When was the last time some bum being left off an All [Fill in the Blank] Team caused an African child to starve? Never. So stop being ridiculous and trying to equate these two totally different scenarios.

When the men with the white coat show up, be sure to cooperate, not doing so will just make it harder for you.

Do you have first hand knowledge of this or are you just throwing out random advice? Because if it's the latter, I don't know how trustworthy you are.

UMD Wuz Robbed!

But oh well. Doesn't really matter that way. Osterberg should have been at least a nominee for ROTY

Re: The NCHC: Just be glad its NaCHo League

Anyone else find it odd that there are 2 teams that play in the Eastern Time Zone and 2 in the Mountain Time Zone in this league and all four will be on the road playing in the Central Time Zone this weekend?

Speaking for the Pioneers, it is the first time we've had to travel for the 1st round of playoffs since 2003.And even then we went to the Central Time Zone.

Even then? Is that really all that odd when the old WCHA had 1 eastern team, 1 other mountian team and 1 alaskan school...not really.
