so, I'd heard that generic stimulants for ADHD treatment can leave a lot to be desired. Problem is, reading people's anecdotes online makes it impossible to draw clinical conclusions. Are they simply desensitized to the dosage and need more over time?
But now more docs seem to be getting on board with the fact that many, many people who switch from brand to generic are having issues, and apparently the formulations for some of these generics is not as close as one thinks, there's not always a lot of regulation, and they use different inactive ingredients which may sound harmless, but can affect the uptake/absorption.
so i take generic vyvanse (never tried the real stuff). for a year now, I'd thought it was working. Then Costco gave me a manufactuer I've never had, and oh my god, has it been a rough month. literally feel nothing. googled the maker, and what do you know, huge recall last year for not having the actual doses in the capsules.
found an old pill from last bottle and took it - bam, affective again. too bad Im stuck with these useless sugar pills rest of month.
