Re: "The Lake Show" - LSSU Laker Hockey

NCAA cancels shorthanded icing rule change......

Finally they remove their heads and listen to the coaches, players, and fans (doubtful the fans had any impact) and stop the madness of how many rule changes can they jam into a game, they have steadily made worse by their continued interference.

THANKS NC2A

We are a full 9 months away from beginning the construction of Phase I (Hockey facility will start after the season & soil thaw). We are still interviewing architect / general contractors with that decision coming up in the next 30-45 days. We than have 6-9 months for the construction drawings to be developed.

This is a long process. We also have to deal with the State of Michigan rules & regs along the way. But work is progressing at steady pace.

We do have our goalie clinic coming soon (September 2010) and the coaches report interest in the project has helped the recruiting process. Continue to look at the "news" section of the norriscenterproject site for continued updates and announcements.

It looks like Tyler Marble will be one of the two main Traverse City North Stars goalies heading into this NAHL season, so he may still be in line to be the Lakers third goalie for 2011-12. Kelin Ainsworth will also be in Traverse City this season, as expected.

Well since Flint and Port Huron will both be fielding NAHL teams this season I will have to try to get to a few games against Traverse City.

Don has been a volunteer goalie coach for several years. I would guess he's somewhere around 59-61.

Five months down.......two months to go

62 days until the Lakers start. Just a little over a month to go (38 days) before the Soo Eagles start as well.

When will we know if Schofield will return?

Does anyone know if there will be a Blue/White game this year?

when I was at LSSU the blue/white game was always the previous day when anyone on campus publicized it. Kind of like how yesterday was always half price wing day at Ubetcha.
