And all the Democrats sat back and watched. They knew this was the goal, yet RBG couldn't be bothered and neither could the electorate. I have only one thing to say to all my liberal friends throughout the country. Pick your place to live carefully.

That isn't fair, Scoob. I don't know where you live, but wherever I have lived, Dems have been working their as-ses off to fight these fascists. But it's like fighting against any virus -- it spreads easily and a lot of the population is vulnerable.

You always jump to ALL IS LOST!!! But that defeatism does not help anything. You don't mean to, but you are giving comfort to the enemy.

I know that is right. There are people working their asses off in every state on this. RBG still couldn't be bothered. Voters still abandoned the party. Your best bet right now is to move. Maybe if those states become wastelands of idiots things will start to change.
 
Keep blaming RBG...it is certainly her fault and not the people who vote for the fascists or the ones who can't be bothered to vote. Blaming RBG is lazy its like blaming the goalie or QB for every loss.

The American People are the problem, not a great jurist who used her lifetime appointment to its fullest and spent her life protecting rights much better than we ever could. This incessant need of the Left to pretend she is the issue needs to end like yesterday. People not taking 2016 seriously isn't her fault, it is ours. It is the hundreds of thousands of people in 3 states who decided they just didn't trust Hillary Clinton so fuck it lets stay home or vote for Comrade Jill Stein and blow the whole fucking thing up. It is a Democratic Party that is on the right side of every issue but allow themselves to demonized for it. It is the fault of a country filled with fat, lazy losers who would rather watch Survivor than spend 10 minutes learning about the candidates running for any office.

We have failed...she did her fucking job and deserves better than that.

And before someone says it, if the only way to ensure the right thing is done is by forcing her to quit before she is ready then the system is broken.
 
The system has been broken since 1980. If she and the people around her were too ignorant to figure that out that's on them.

Agreed. The fault rests with McConnell for refusing to hold hearings for Garland (and then ignoring his self-set precedence for ACB).

Or, it could be both. She failed to acknowledge she was mortal and that her entire legacy would be wiped from the books because of the fascists. She said "Nah, fuck it, it'll all work out." She was wrong. We had a chance to fix that, but we all said "Nah, fuck it, it'll all work out" and we were wrong.

I really wish people could retire by 80. I get that many in good shape have their faculties and can be productive but it’s so dicey. The reporting on Feinstein today is a joke- why she ran again in her mid 80s is beyond me.

plenty of senile men still hanging around though so.

OH yeah, this isn't limited to just RBG. The entire fucking democratic party is basically run by old men. All of whom need to be sent to the glue factory in place of a significantly more diverse (ethnic, gender, economic, education, etc.) leadership group. Is Leahy still alive? He's another that should get the iceberg treatment. The only old I've seen that bucks the trend is Bernie. The only one.

80? They shouldn't be able to run again after 70. Also, no presidents elected over 70. We don't need more old white men running the country.

Leahy is retiring after his term ends in January 2023. Looks like an old white dude, Welch D-Vt, will replace him. Vermont, for all its progressivism in the past few decades, has struggled to send anyone other than old white guys to Washington.

Women should demand men carry abortion insurance before having sex with them. The insurance would pay the full cost of transportation, procedures, side effects, and any legal costs for an abortion from the provider of the woman's choosing. The man would have to stay insured paying all premiums. The woman would review the man's insurance as part of choosing to date him.

The only pregnancies right winger morons would have would be with other right winger morons.
