Don't you hate those guys who think their jobs are important? ;)

Re: The Greatest Programs of All-Time: #1-#59

Yo - FS. Let's go.

Sorry...I've been absolutely swamped at work. We have a big trial coming up in mid-July. Plus, I've been gone the past three weekends (and another this upcoming weekend) traveling to weddings. Apparently all my friends decided to get married this summer. On the plus side, after this weekend, I MAY have some time to post more often.

I know...what a bunch of *******s. :p:D:D

#51 - Alabama Huntsville Chargers
Overall Points: 2.3361
Difference from last season: + 0.1429 (#39)
Points over past 5 years: + 0.3892 (#52)

Outlook

Alabama Huntsville nearly joined the likes of Iona and Wayne State as programs that disbanded their hockey programs. Fortunately, the Chargers were able to stave off real elimination, and found a home in the WCHA. It has been a difficult two seasons in the WCHA for UAH, winning just 10 total games, but the Chargers appear on the right track winning four times as many games last season as the campaign before. Moreover, the 8 wins UAH posted last season was the most for the program since winning 12 in the last year of the CHA. While it is still likely that UAH will find itself in the bottom ten in the near future, at least there is a future for Alabama Huntsville.

Yep, that sums up my Wildcats (UNH) well, FS; always the bridesmaid, never the bride, I guess. Will be interesting to see if we can hold onto #18 after this coming season. A lot will depend on incoming freshmen making good on their playing time.

Not to relive the past coz you can't change it but think of where we were just a few days after this was posted. Life turns on a dime they say and the 'Cats made the most of it in 14-15. This is a cool thread...kudos to its writer (s).

Re: The Greatest Programs of All-Time: #1-#59

Ding! Will need more than one team posted per day to get this list done in time for the new season.

Re: The Greatest Programs of All-Time: #1-#59

After running the #'s the OP realized UND had fallen to #2 and decided to scrap the project.

Re: The Greatest Programs of All-Time: #1-#59

I apologize for letting this thread sort of slip by the wayside. I've been terribly busy at work over the past few months...nothing like four trials in three months. We thought for certain two of them would settle, and well...they haven't.

At this point in time, I think I will throw out two suggestions: (1) I simply post the remaining teams in batches (i.e. 10 teams at a time); or (2) I will send someone the information necessary for someone else to post in an appropriate fashion. If anyone is interested, just PM me.

Re: The Greatest Programs of All-Time: #1-#59

No worries, FS. Sounds like Deflategate back here in New England is going to trial; no one wants to settle anymore. Hope that someone steps up to work with you on your hockey programs, as it is a great database.
