Waiting with baited breath to see the update.

Re: The Greatest Programs of All-Time: #1 - #58

I'll take DU's 7 National Championships, 13 MacNaughtons & 15 WCHA Playoff Championships over Wisconsin's 6 NC's, 3 MacNaughtons & 8 Playoff Championships.

In the WCHA, DU is tied for 1st in NC's with UND, tied for 1st in MacNaughton's with UND and 1st in WCHA Playoff Championships.

Well, Bucky does have a longer history than that of DU, and they were flat out dominant between 73 and 83 with 8 final four appearances, four title games and three titles. Furthermore, they are the only program which has won titles in the 70's, 80's 90's and the 00's. I have Bucky at four, DU at five, and BU at six.

Denver has a longer history.

Minnesota Duluth comes in at #20. The Bulldogs have 6 NCAA Tournament appearances, and made the most of those trips, advancing to the Frozen Four three times. Their best run was in 1984 when the Bulldogs came within a bounce of winning the title, losing in 4 Overtimes to Bowling Green. While Duluth hasn't always been the most consistent team, they have 4 Hobey Baker Award winners. That is tied for the most winners by any team. Minnesota Duluth is on pace for another NCAA Appearance this year, and could very well make another Frozen Four.

#20 Minnesota Duluth - 66.5522 Points
#21 St. Lawrence - 64.6435 Points

i'd like to see these 5 schools drop down to division III, and promote 5 programs from the club level that would be a better fit for division I college hockey, ala Penn State. I'm thinking URI, Illinois, Navy, Iowa State and Ohio U.

But then Yale would have no one to play.

Re: The Greatest Programs of All-Time: #1 - #58

For those of you who are waiting, I should have the numbers punched in and figured out and posted by the end of the week.

Duluth is going to jump up quite a bit...just how far remains to be seen.

Re: The Greatest Programs of All-Time: #1 - #58

Waiting for the update to reflect this season, could it also include a differential from the position from last season vs. this season?

Sure. I'll include differential in position as well as points, along with their % increase.

:p:D:D FWIW, those were the rankings coming into this year. I'm now posting the updates to the rankings. Given the Wolverines run this year, I would be shocked if they didn't hold down the top spot. ;)
