Rudolph Giuliani says he knew about a chief accountant at Burisma, the Ukrainian company which put Hunter Biden on its board. The accountant was also reportedly the wife of Burisma’s former owner.

So it's an unnamed person but also the chief accountant at Burisma who was the wife of its former owner? How many people matching that description are there?

Republicans suggest then-Vice President Biden played a role in Burisma hiring his son, with bribery involved.

So wait, he wanted them to hire Hunter for the no-show job, so they had to bribe him for that? I don't think that's how bribes work.

Here is likely what is going on here:

A few years back, in an effort to show Biden was corrupt Giuliani talked to someone at Burisma about Hunter. Maybe the idea was to make Hunter into Joe's "Roger Clinton" or maybe it was to show Joe pulled some strings...but it was never going to be a huge story just something to throw out there to muddy the water and make Joe look shady. Giuliani talked to someone who was easy to get on his side and he was told (or more likely told them to say) that Joe bribed them to put Hunter on the board. Basic story that woudn't really move the needle much since that is literally what all of Washington does, 3/4 of Hollywood and all of the upper crust around the world. At best it would have made Joe look similar to Trump...which is why the story expanded to a massive bribe about a prosecutor getting fired that went nowhere...

Anyways in the course of his "investigation" Giuliani went to the Feds to get it on the record so that way if it ever comes up again they can say "hey the Feds were looking into this!" even if it goes nowhere. Maybe he knows someone, maybe he inquires to find one that is a Trump lover...either way he gets it done. Meanwhile Trump loses, Jan 6th happens and Joe is President because no one bought the stupid story and Trump screwed up the Pandemic. The Feds refuse to look into it because there is nothing there and they have much bigger fish to fry.

Fast forward 2 years...the GOP wins back the House partly because they convinced the Qucumbers and Trumpers they were going to get Joe! The Biden Crime Family was all they had and they were going to use the full force of the House to get them! They go on a fishing expedition to find anything they can and the Giuliani statement to the FBI comes their way. They even have the guy who Giuliani talked to willing to blow the whistle on how the DOJ stopped him! They don't actually read any of it or talk to the witnesses they just start holding PCs talking about all the information they are finding! (they don't even realize what they are investigating yet...you know because when they do the tenor of their PCs changes and they get less giddy) They then start holding hearings and nothing is coming to fruition and as people start to notice (especially the Press) they have a decision to make...they can either just finish this out quietly and issue a statement next year saying this issue is closed...

OR

They can do what they did and start making huge promises based on this one story they have. They promise blockbuster whistleblowers (who then "disappear") and airtight proof! The Press eats it up and the BluecheckmarQers are all over Twitter celebrating. But then witnesses don't pan out (or are completely discredited like the guy who had his clearance revoked) and no new evidence arrives that even shows Hunter was doing anything let alone Joe. Again they could choose to just stop and get back to the business of ruining Qevin McCarthy's life...

OR

They can just find some way to make it look like there is obstruction going on! That is how they will get Joe HE IS STOPPING THE DOJ FROM DOING ITS JOB!! At first, the Press sort of seems to believe it but not for long. Even the Qucumbers aren't buying it because now we are in Boy Who Cried Wolf territory and they dont trust Comer to actually find anything. He latches onto a document that the FBI won't turn over about the investigation (the Giuliani Doc) and starts destroying the FBI and threatening to subpoena Wray over it. For days they make a big deal out of it saying it proves corruption and that Biden took a $5 million bribe (it inflated to $10 million before they dropped the story) until Jamie Raskin basically debunks the whole thing live at a PC. Meanwhile Wray decides to let them see the document, it is revealed what it is about (Burisma) and now no one even cares since that story didn't have legs in 2020.

Now I know this sounds like it is some elaborate plot to a bad film...and that basically is what it is. An the sad thing is, it was so obvious even the DC Press was noticing it way earlier than normal. At every PC they basically backed Comer into a corner having to admit they had no evidence on Joe but they hope to find some. Even friendly press like Faux was openly questioning him about it when he came on their programs. It makes the Hillary investigations look relevant and on point.
 
So you're saying Trump's DOJ refused to look into the Biden bribe story because they didn't think there was anything to it.

Is it great Hunter got the nepotism job? No. Is it at all remotely surprising or rate? Also no. Nothing there is remotely illegal, and if the possible access to Biden did lead to something illegal, you have to show us the slightest hint of it anywhere, which they have never even pretended to do.

Also, because I don't have time to dig through this again, but didn't Hunter get hired well after some fishy things went down at Burisma and it had been essentially re-staffed with people from the non-(or less-)corrupt Western-aligned Ukranian government? So this was more to show their new Western vibes than anything else.
 
Typical Republicans. They'll believe anything anyone tells them if it aligns with their preconceived thought processes.

Yeah, it was covered, but my god rarely does one get to actually see karma operating, so it's worth a replay.

I had never heard of the guy. He's like Dump's lost son.

They can afford to do it when they know their portion of the electorate is under lock and key. If you show this to the typical Republican voter he will just say you're lying.
