Sounds a lot like NV and Vegas or AZ and Phoenix. It depends on who is moving in. If it's educated people from the coasts then the burbs will fill up with liberals and even a smattering of Leftists like in VA and OR. If it's derps from the prairie and rust belt who want to Bible thump someplace warmer, then you wind up with suburbanites who vote for Sara Huckabee Sanders.

Other comments were saying that the state legislators in MO are required to address each other as either Lady or Gentleman during proceedings. Odd custom, but it really added to an odd feeling of that discussion.
