There have been pics all over Twitter of the exhibit hall at the convention of all these little kids holding/handling guns. It's disturbing.

Seeing 787 million as the amount. What really needs to be part of it (as someone suggested earlier) is faux anchors at the top of every hour saying that they lied and it was never true. Over and over for a long time. I am sure that will not happen and faux will spin this into another lie that their sheep will gobble up.

Edit: seeing faux issued a statement that "certain claims" were false. Of course that gives them the ability to give the ol' wink to their audience to believe that most things were "true"

Well, I guess it's less than $1.6 billion.

Any public apologies forthcoming? Should be read by Fox anchors every hour on the hour.

I would wager that if Fox or their squawkers mentioned their settlement in anyway that could be seen as commentary on their site, their broadcasts, or social media sites, they’d be held in breach and all the lawyers are back at it again.
 
This is an enormous sum of money, and will be a bit of a benchmark for SmartMatic's lawsuit as well. Now there are more than just rumors about investors looking to sue over mismanagement.

Beau had a video about this last night. Fox fired O'Reilly over $13 mil worth of claims, and now their first bill is almost $800 mil. Only one thing drives Murdoch - money. This is a huge amount of it.

But Murdoch would have to fire half the network for this. O'Reilly was a scum personally but this fine is about Fox' entire business model of lying to reinforce the prejudices of its audience. Who's he going to punish? His audience for being gullible, snarling, bigoted, ignorant cowards? "You made me broadcast this to you!!!"
