Friend of mine who is like a brother to me found out he had cancer last Friday. Today some of the biopsy results came back and he has metastatic lung cancer or in other words advanced cancer. 55 years old with 2 kids and a wife of 25 years. Would appreciate if you could mention him in your prayers. Thanks.

Had my yearly evaluation today at work. Was rated as a "solid performer," was told I "work very hard," and will be given a raise. Not only that, I will be given temporary full time status, due to the fact we are very short on cart people. The only thing I was told to work on was to "maintain a positive attitude during stressful situations."

So much for that. All the hours I was promised? They're doing payroll cuts, which means hours are being slashed again. This is what I get for taking my bosses at their word.

SO... time to dig deep, and keep looking for full time work.

As if you really need this advice to make it easier, but once the kid is in college, it's time to put away the pole and toss out the stripper shoes.

As if you really need this advice to make it easier, but once the kid is in college, it's time to put away the pole and toss out the stripper shoes.

Good news and Bad news...

Haven't been on here in ages so I figured I'd share some news...

The Bad news...

My mom is having surgery for a hernia this week. She'll be on a liquid diet after that for a while.

The Good News...

I've been accepted into the University of Colorado at Boulder and will start this spring! Not an easy school to get into either. But, with a 3.60 GPA, they couldn't say no.

My close friend of 45 plus years starts his chemo treatment tomorrow in Fargo. He has an uphill battle but a battle he can beat. If you are a praying person throw a little mention of Tom in there if you would please. Thanks.

Lots of stuff moving forward with the preparation for the decision. Feeling it is the right thing to do. Still praying!

In terms of my job, my bosses feel I'm doing a good job, and they want me to train new people. Saturday, I was praised for doing my best to keep up during a one day sale.

But in terms of my emotional/mental state, I feel like depression/anxiety/bipolar has left me feeling like I need to survive, which means a cold, black, cynical mindset.

I think tomorrow you need to call your psych provider and talk to them. That is not a good place to be.

It's already cost me a few friends. Hasn't cost me the core group yet, though.
