The Global War on Terror 5.0: Putin on the Risk

Re: The Global War on Terror 5.0: Putin on the Risk

It is a different time in the Middle East, and with so many things flaring up, Israel isn't going to get the attention from the Arab world they often did in the past when the rest of the region was relatively calm and something happening between Israel and the Palestinians was the main topic to focus on. But, with Iraq, Syria, Egypt, Libya, Yemen, etc. in various states of uproar/civil war, etc., Israel has to share the attention with all these other events.

Besides, everyone knows only Arabs killed by Israelis count. When Arabs in their tens of thousands are killed by other Arabs, pffft.

Re: The Global War on Terror 5.0: Putin on the Risk

Israel needs to up the pace of killing "innocent Palestinians." Especially more children.

It's amazing how not a single Palestinian soldier was killed. Not one. EVERY Palestinian that died was a civilian, each and every one.

So true. Not to mention stuff like ISIS beheading Christians in the parts of Iraq they've taken over, but that doesn't even warrant the attention of the media. I guess they just figure that Christians are fair game.

It must be awful to live in a country where every day when you wake up you know you're going to be persecuted. How do you stand it?

Your interest in the lives (now extinguished) of those beheaded is unsurprising.

Interesting how black and white knucks' see things. While one can side with Israel in their struggles with hostile neighbors, one can at the same time say they need to do a much, much better job when targeting their enemies. As in, stop bombing freakin' hospitals. As much as I don't like George W Bush, I don't recall too many instances of US troops bombing the p!ss out of Iraqi medical facilities in order to get an enemy fighter during that foolhardy war.

If Hamas stores weapons in schools, hospitals and mosques are those buildings still off limits??

First, this has been getting wall-to-wall attention on the Beeb and AJA and in every major newspaper. What are you talking about? (I can't vouch for CNN or Fox because if I want to watch comedy I'll watch TDS.)

Second, they're not specifically beheading Christians for being Christians, they're beheading them for being Sunni apostates, and which also goes for Shia, Jews, atheists, anybody. They're equal opportunity murderers.

So, well-covered violence not specifically directed against Christians fits into your conspiracy of a cover up of violence against Christians how exactly?

Certainly there are times when Israel isn't as careful as they could be, but it's long been known that Hamas uses human shields and hides weapons in schools, etc. The international community is just largely too cowardly to call them on it. This is especially true of Europe, where Jews are feeling less and less welcome and anti-Semitic events have risen dramatically, leading to more Jews leaving Europe for Israel.

No it hasn't. I'm not saying there is no coverage, but nowhere near the coverage of events in Gaza. We see a running tally of the Gaza death count in every headline. I have yet to see a headline with any sort of death toll from the ISIS beheadings and such.

Re: The Global War on Terror 5.0: Putin on the Risk

Joe Scarborough's gonna get a visit from Mossad.

I've always liked him. A conservative who's not afraid to look at each situation and deviate from the talking points of the party when he disagrees.

He's right about Israel too.

Hamas needs to be exterminated, but at a 10 to 1 civilian to scumbag ratio? That cost is too high. Find a better way.

Sorry but I gotta disagree with this. When ISIS first started making noise every neo-con TV personality was on every current affairs talk show saying how the US needed to send troops back into Iraq. The notion that ISIS hasn't gotten huge coverage just isn't true.

You missed the point. Of course ISIS in general has gotten a lot of coverage. But their beheading of Christians hasn't, which is specifically what I'm talking about.
