San Francisco introduces an ordinance to outlaw racially motivated 911 calls. People who call law enforcement based on racial bias could face criminal charges.

The name of the ordinance is Caution Against Racially Exploitative Non-emergencies.

That's the last thing they want. They're ALEC but for the Thumpers. This wasn't calculated, it was a f-ck up by a state satellite idiot for a very active, national behind-the-scenes group that coordinates attacks on the church/state divide. A Ted Cruz staffer is behind the mothership which is based in VA, with state cells like this one for MN.

Kinder? Nah. Conservatives don't understand the meaning of the term, so don't bother. Libs have been trying 'kindness' for years, and it's left the country with 40 years of trickle-down.

Kindness is different from softness. "Kind" is not "nice."

Kindness is frequently very hard. It is kind to have an intervention when a person is self-destructive. It is kind to deny unrestricted access to an addict whether they are addicted to drugs or guns.

It is no kindness to tolerate the existence of Nazis in our public institutions. Kindness also has a strong will and the patience and fortitude to face problems and overcome malicious people who would harm others for their own gain or idiotic ideology.

I am not talking about Jesus' ideal of Christian love and turning the other cheek. That is beyond almost all of us. I am talking about accepting those who are not criminally insane... but also rendering harmless those who are.

Good news, everyone. After whatever sixty changes in the editorial board of Wonkette since I stopped reading it seven years ago, it's good again. Maybe they brought back the manic pixie dream girl Founder who is AFAIK the only common entry on Dr. Mrs. and my 5. Except not anymore since she has the Olds. Let's call her a Quinque Emeritus, like Genevieve Bujold.
