The Frozen Four

If Omaha is eliminated PC fans will come out of the woodwork from all over New England. If Omaha wins and play the Satin Terriers those same fans will be backing the Mavs. Years of arrogance by their former coach still lingers with a lot of us.

Never speak ill of Jack Parker or Jerry York. Those men are holy.

Re: The Frozen Four

You get the same reaction from any college hockey fan when you bring up BC. They must gave knocked their team out somewhere along the line in the last 15+ years.

Just like the NFL fans hate the superb Patriots.....everyone hates the best and BC is a proven product

Re: The Frozen Four

I thought so too ... guess they're just adjacent orange wedges .... (western fans on BC and BU)

Re: The Frozen Four

Now, onto some analysis.

Let's call it impressions ...

Omaha is likely going to defeat Providence, whether P has all the audience or not. I would give 2 to 1 odds for it.

The UND and BU affair IMO is even odds. There are a number of factors that may have a bearing. Puck luck being #1, in my book.

My son in law school has a strong sense of UND beating BU, and he is seldom wrong.

Re: The Frozen Four

I don't love nor hate 3 of the 4 schools left.

Go BU, I guess. More friends that are fans of that school than the others (which is rather strange, given my location).

It would be hilarious to see Omaha (Blais) beat UND (Hakstol) just to see SiouxSports melt down.

My guess is the winner of the BU-UND game will win it all.

Re: The Frozen Four

Partial to the eastern teams, Quinns smugness after both regional wins has swayed me to Providence. Man likes to hear himself talk.

at one of the FoH year end banquets couple years ago Jack had to get up to present an award that Quinn was scheduled to give but DQ hadn't arrived yet as he was out of town recruiting though scheduled to be back. Jack said that DQ's plane had landed but he was having a problem driving to campus, his head was stuck in the tunnel.

brought down the house :p

Re: The Frozen Four

I see now that the link is avail on the uscho front page as well.. not sure if there was a deadline to get this in or if this is/was just for the final (frozen) four.. regardless, hope people win some prizes.

People are strange, when you're a stranger ... (The Doors) ... in the Twin Cities area there are a ton of UND fans. Subtle trolls are also noticed here.

Not trying to troll. Given the fact that there are many UND fans here, you'd think I'd cross paths with more of them at the tourneys in the Cities. I just don't, and I find that strange.

Even before the conference splits, by the way.

It will be fun to see Quinn and Pecknold stare each other down next year. May even skip Yale if they are scheduled on the same night to see that one. The Bank may explode from those two egos.

Too bad the Gophers had such a dismal result to their season, after previous high expectations. Wish they could have earned a trip to Fargo, at least. How many more troll posts must we put up with from you, Brent? It does add humor in a way, however. So keep jackin' ....

But, this is not about you. If the Blais machine comes through, most in Grand Forks would probably be tolerant. Omaha has some sons of former Sioux greats. What might be obvious is that the Big (little?) Ten needs an overhaul pretty quick.

SiouxSports has a melting point slightly above lead. They will be fine.

I was surprised MN was not sent to South Bend, to be honest. And I would have LOVED to see a UND-MN game in Boston (was planning a last minute trip FTR, if MN made it). For old time's sake. Best (former) rivalry, IMO. And I must remind you (and other B1G haters) that MN hockey wanted nothing to do with the B1G. I still hate the B1G Mistake. But what's done is done. :(

For the last time, not trying to troll here.

This was one of the postgame topics de jour among several other UNO fans I spoke with after the game last night at O'Rourkes in South Bend.

If we beat Providence and North Dakota wins as well, the "Dean Blais angle" paired with "Hakstol can't seem to win the big one thing" will be THE story of the title game. A shame that would get played out somewhere it has little meaning to anyone.

I agree it SHOULD be a non-story, but there are some that just can't move on.
