Hummels is off for Germany. He's one of the better defenders in the world. He may be needed for the Ghana match.

Pretty sure the only reason the ref didn't give that penalty was because he caused it.

Ronaldo probably should've gotten a yellow there too.

I certainly think the play itself was deserving of a penalty. You could be right about the reason.

USA chances are greatly improving as Portugal self destructs today.

They have to find a way to take 3 pts from Ghana tonight.

what's with the graphics having different spellings of names? they added an e in both ozil and muller...what am i missing?

it is the English interpretation of the German language. Müller is Mueller and Özil is Oezil.

that's just it...with this thrashing and with portugal now down a couple/few guys, the 3 points against ghana isn't an absolute must but getting at least 1 is.

Only if GD winds up mattering; if they beat us and Ghana, it probably will not. (Yes, I know, Pepe red carded and Hugo Almeida and Coentrao possibly out due to injury, but even so, Ronaldo could tear us apart by himself; him against our defenders scares the bejeezus out of me.)

Edit to add: LOLPepe. He's a thug. And he looks silly with hair.

mike tirico has referred to the last world cup as last year about 10 times now

I asked for a 3-0 game with lots of cards, I get a 4-0 win with a red card and several injuries. The USMNT has got to take advantage of that opening given to it.
